Alex Channon R.I.P

I sadly lost my father Alex channon earlier today
He was 76 and grateful we got to that age with him considering the heart attack and following surgery he suffered at 64
He was involved with club in numerous ways , chairing the swinton branch in its early days , involved with the csa and sending a minibus out to sierra Leone blues View attachment 178934Christmas day
My thoughts are
with you and your family XX

Great photo, Alex was a lovely chap.

Sorry to hear that he has passed, I knew him around the time of the CSA being setup, as our branch formed and joined not long after it all started, after breaking away from another OSC branch after a serious dispute over tickets. I ran the branch for about 3 years, and tried to make most meetings as representative of our branch, though I've not been involved for a few years now.

So sorry for your loss. What a lovely gentleman and great man your Dad was. Rest in peace, Sir.

Really sorry to read this. Sounds like you have some fantastic memories with your Dad - he seems like an amazing man. RIP to your father and best wishes to your family.
