Curious about Nunes. Everybody put him out there as a starter. I thought hes been poor against Forest, but great against Newcastle.

Most importantly hes been the one that played both games full time. NOBODY else like that. Maybe its because Nunes is going to make a room for Khusanov. I would love his speed against Vinicius. And Khusanov was superb against Newcastle as well. I feel its smart to start Khusanov, Dias, Guehi, Ait Nouri and let Nunes rest here. We do not need to be that offensive at the Bernabeu and Khusanov is just better defender than Mattheus.

If you want speed, you are not going to drop Nunes. You'd just stick Khusanov at centre half instead of Dias
Nunes has great recovery speed and I haven't seen him being out paced this season.
 
This Madrid team is a joke.
Quality players individually but as a unit they are spoilt pre modonnas. It is our duty as a team that’s about the collective, no matter the tactics, is to beat this tactic-less team.

2-1 away 4-0 at home.

I think RAN will do Nunes’s role in the other side, with Khusa to slot in at RB and keep eyes on Vini jnr.

Yeah, but not only about speed, Khusanov is better at defending. Nunes been very good for us, constantly better and better, im harsh on him a bit, but I would pick Khusanov against Vinicius

Interesting observation and good call. If that happens, then Savio has to start as the RWF as Khus will simply be the 3rd CB

Spanish media saying this is the worst Real side for over a decade , but they still have individuals who can cause damage , they have a few big names out so never a better time to play them , we have dealt with the Bernabeu atmosphere and our players are used to playing there , least we can expect is a draw and smash them at the Etihad.
 
Task 1 - win in Madrid
Task 2 - get Vini booked so he misses the 2nd leg
Task 3 - if Mbappe does feature, test that knee out with a nice Rudiger/Ramos style knee on knee contact

Vjn will play all across the front 3 maybe even in a 2 up top so would make sense to have khus at cb to use his pace against vjn wherever he goes nunes isn't slow!! Hope mbappe plays he's obviously knowhere near fit and is furious with Madrid for trying to make him play!! If he does it will be a half hearted performance as his eyes are on the world cup and being fully fit for that.
