Russian invasion of Ukraine

Ukrainian forces are successfully counterattacking not only in the Oleksandrivka and Hulyaipole directions but also in western Zaporizhia Oblast. These counterattacks are generating tactical, operational and strategic effects that may disrupt russia’s Spring-Summer 2026 offensive campaign plan. The russian command likely hoped that russian advances in the Hulyaipole direction would complement russian advances near Orikhiv, which would in turn enable russian forces to advance toward Orikhiv from the east and west and later enable advances toward Zaporizhzhia City itself. russian forces are thus facing a far more difficult battlefield situation in southern Ukraine in early March than they did at the start of 2026. The counterattacks in southern Ukraine are also having strategic effects in other parts of the theater. The cascading effects that the Ukrainian counterattacks in the Oleksandrivka, Hulyaipole, and Zaporizhia directions have generated in other sectors of the front show how constrained the russian force structure in Ukraine really is.

The peak of when the Ukraine war kicked off oil was at $139 a barrel so far this conflict has risen as high as $120 a barrel and it seems markets have calmed over night. The world is one fucked up place with Trump being a compromised Russian asset.

We are conducting a detailed analysis of the available data regarding the intentions of the Russian leadership to exploit the situation around Iran and the possible prolongation of the American military operation.In fact, this is currently Russia’s main calculation – to increase the risks of a prolonged war in the Middle East and the Gulf region in order to weaken as much as possible the world’s pressure on Russia over its war against Ukraine, have partners’ sanctions lifted, and gain additional resources due to fluctuations in oil and gas prices. We have information that the Russians intend to speak about the complete waiving of sanctions on the energy sector. We are determining our countermeasures and will inform our partners.I instructed the intelligence service to step up its work regarding Russian military production – we must continue to limit the potential of Russian aggression despite the geopolitical challenges around the world.Our intelligence has obtained important documents regarding Russia’s own assessment of its losses on the battlefield. In particular, a change has been recorded in the killed-to-wounded ratio among Russian forces: out of 100 percent of losses, 62 percent are killed and 38 percent wounded. In their classified official reports, the Russians themselves estimate their irrecoverable losses at 1 million 315 thousand killed and seriously wounded. We have reason to believe that these figures are understated.
