We have 2 out and out wingers in the team tonight there is no need for the fullbacks to provide anything attacking from the wide areas.

Said a day or so ago I expect us to play quite defensive and make it a one leg game at the Etihad.

Got that fucking wrong didn't I! Clearly absolutely going for it with the attacking options on the pitch and backing ourselves defensively to deal with them.

Could be a car crash or could be a momentous away thrashing of Madrid, that to be honest they've long deserved from us.

Glad we’ve gone for wingers, Doku against Arnold will be a fun ride hopefully. Couldn’t not do it really.

I just hope they do play wide and not the internal 4222 we’ve seen recently, we’re loads better with width.

Feel for Nunes, though, to be left out on such a big stage after being arguably the most reliable player for the past 18 months but I understand Khusanov against Vinicius.

I hope Khusanov nails him a couple of times for good measure.

Nunez has certainly improved his defending, is less likely to dive in & he's not slow but feel that Khus's pace against the diving Brazillian gobshite will be key.

That's why I'm pleased he's playing, I don't think Hooben can cope with the whinging Brazilian non Balon Dor recipient....
