45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

‘Liability’ is overly harsh
If we are worried about 1(one!) corner V West Ham then we’ve got much bigger fucking problems

Its not one, he lost the ball again after we conceded because he takes too much time to pass it around

I didn't watch the 2nd half of the game, maybe he was outstanding

Anyway, I hope he turns out City's best ever CB

I appreciate his pace & aggression to get the ball back, but I think his passing & decision making needs an upgrade.

The ‘upgrade’ will come with experience

Lets hope so

if you watch Vitor Reis, you will see the difference
You need centre backs with different qualities to create the perfect defence.

Reis doesn’t have the pace to recover, but is better at positioning and the build up.

They could be a pair made in heaven potentially.

Comparing Reis to Khusanov is like comparing Kyle Walker to Cancelo as a full back.

Compared to last season, he’s far less clumsy and rash.

Feel free to search back into my posts as I’ve said the same thing as you before.

Do you feel the team is more secure with him or Dias in the back line?
The choice between him and Dias is hard. I would probably choose Dias as he’s more intelligent and positional play is better.

Some people are saying all sorts of things, like he was responsible for Donnarumma's misjudged clearance or Semenyo's lost duel against Mavropanos that led to the goal.

If every corner we conceded turned into a chance or a goal—and we had 15—we should have won 1-15.

His pass completion rate was 92%, and West Ham only managed one shot in 95 minutes, the goal they scored. They didn't have a single shot on target in the second half, largely thanks to his pace; he covered and intercepted most of the long passes they played behind us.

Our defense tonight wasn't the problem. West Ham only managed one shot the entire match.

It was our attacking play that was lacking for 60 minutes.
