He is definitely the player to build around him. He needs more time. At the moment he makes a lot of bad decisions and gives the ball away. But he can reach the start like KDB did for us.

Cherki is so fucking lazy off the ball. He drives me up a wall at times. His shot early in the game was straight at Courtois, not releasing Doku earlier, etc. I didn't think he was nearly as good as Doku or Khusanov, for example.

It's genuinely fucking weird what is going on with Cherki. He's either good enough to be our new KDB and he should be starting every game he's able to in order to build proper chemistry with everyone around him, or he isn't, in which case why on earth did we sign him at all? Why are we signing these players who Pep doesn't already have clear ideas how to use?

It’s been disappointing to see so many average (for our previous standards) players signed over the last three years, but this lad is going to be a cracking player.

Still a lot to learn but he’s got magic feet and a great football brain.

More signings like Cherki, Gvardiol and Khusanov please City!
