And then there are fans on here who would happily let him go to Madrid for free next year. And to think I've read some fans on here saying they'd take £60m for him. Clowns

Madrid sold Casemiro to the Rags for €70m at the age of 30, don’t remember him being a Balon’dor winner. It will be a serious fee if it happens, they paid a lot for Hazard with a year left.
why would he (assuming he does want to go) do that, when he can leave for free next season 2027 anyway?Madrid sold Casemiro to the Rags for €70m at the age of 30, don’t remember him being a Balon’dor winner.
I think the solution is to let Rodri know we will let him go back to Spain but not until 2027 as we need his experience for next season since we are losing so many experienced players, but on condition that he signs an extra 1 yr so we get a fee from the tight Spaniards in 2027.
City are trying to tie him down to a new contract. What would you assume is the hold up?why would he (assuming he does want to go) do that, when he can leave for free next season 2027 anyway?
I meant, why would he sign an extra year (if he wants to go)?City are trying to tie him down to a new contract. What would you assume is the hold up?
If it is because he wants to go Madrid then he doesn’t want to be here and as Pep has said if a player wants to go they can go. Why have a player play out the last year of his contract when his mind is elsewhere.
Hopefully he signs a new contract and this is all mute.
If he wants to go he probably won’t sign an extension, but as a club you sure as hell need to make sure he leaves on some favourable terms. Letting a Balon’dor player leave for nothing when he still could play for another 5 years would be folly.I meant, why would he sign an extra year (if he wants to go)?
How exactly are you going to do this? His contract is up next summer and we can't force him to leave before then.If he wants to go he probably won’t sign an extension, but as a club you sure as hell need to make sure he leaves on some favourable terms. As a 29 year old, Rodri is probably just weighing up his options before committing to a new contract. It will be his last big contract in a major league. He's not ballon dor level Rodri but the amount he has improved over the last 5 or 6 games is unreal. Really hope that the club offer him a deal he wants.City are trying to tie him down to a new contract. What would you assume is the hold up?

How did that work out for them. Real will either pay a token fee or take him on a free. They aren’t giving us more than 20m.It will be a serious fee if it happens, they paid a lot for Hazard with a year left.
This from a couple of weeks ago - we've got some real thick whoppers on Blue moon.
Nonsense, he's been getting closer and closer to his best Id say if his Balon D'or season was a 10 his performances now are at 8/9.Reactionary maybe. But there's no doubt in my eyes his best days are behind him. He's had some shocking performances this season by his old standards.
You people never, ever, ever learn do you?Reactionary maybe. But there's no doubt in my eyes his best days are behind him. He's had some shocking performances this season by his old standards.
