Will we win the league this season? No

I think we are too far back to win it and the team too young to be as ruthlessly consistent as previous iterations have. However, we definitely have a chance. It’s exciting and feels less pressured than other run ins because Arsenal look like they’ve wobbled. 1 win in 4 for them

And that was the stuffy late late goals win v Everton

Beat Chelsea and Arsenal and I will really start to believe then, but those are two really tough games.

Today at Stamford Bridge is going to be a real slog in my opinion.

If we do beat Chelsea and Arsenal, we really need to go all out against Burnley away and Palace at home to catch up GD.

Just hope we don't do a Liverpool in 2014 when they tried to go all gung-ho to catch our GD and it cost them.

When was the last time we won 8 on the bounce in the league? I don’t think we will win every game, but I don’t think it’s necessary. However, winning today and next week is crucial. It puts all sorts of pressure on Arsenal and I firmly believe if this happens they will crumble in their remaining games. West Ham away is a monster game. Also Newcastle at the Emirates isn’t easy, Newcastle aren’t particularly fond of them.

With Burnley almost relegated, we both face them and it could the case of who ever scores the most against them wins the league.

In the league end of the 2023-24 season:

Technically extended into 2024-25 as we won the first 4 games of last season.

We did 8 in all comps this season too:

Like you say not sure we'll win all 8 but we need to go into it with that mentality. I think if we beat Chelsea today and Arsenal next week, then Arsenal will crumble and we probably wont need to win all 8.

I sort of agree. But that said, about a month or so ago it was in our hands and we let that chance slip. Ok that was maybe too early to count as the home straight, but the point im making is we still aren’t as robust as previous iterations of City.
I think the last two games showed were more than capable and not far off it, today's the big test, fingers crossed all goes well.

Still in we can territory rather we will. Obviously Arsenal have failed to take us out of the equation over last 3 months but we still needed the find the solution to the other half.

The last 2 performances make me think we might be onto something. If we back that up in the next 2 I reckon that familiar feeling of inevitability will resurface.

The next two weeks will define the season, but it doesn't matter we have already got a major trophy in the bag. It's s good season whatever happens now.

We’ve been given a chance by Arsenal but we have to remember that we are expecting a side that did this in its previous 12 league games - 5 wins, 6 draws, 1 loss and turn into 8 wins out of 8!!

Pretty decent start though ehhh.
Game RIGHT on now - let's see if lego head goes all out "must not lose" next weekend, if he does it tells us everything about the mentality
