9 | Erling Haaland - 2025/26

I’ve said it before and I still believe it, I think Erling plays the likes of Saliba all wrong. Yes be physical but do not grab the shirt.
Erling is bigger, stronger and faster than any CB. He gives the referees an out by grabbing the shirt. It becomes 6 of one half dozen of the other when it really isn’t.

I definitely think he plays it wrong in the media. After the Arsenal game every pundit/commentator is saying "Oh they both love it! Old fashioned battle!!!"

No, it's just referees allowing defenders to do whatever they want to him.

He did one interview on Sunday where he made it clear he thought it was not on, but not with the English TV.

If Gabriel is refereed according to the rules of the game, Haaland doesn't need to grapple back, he just runs fucking rings around him.
 
If the Haaland from start of the season turns up, then he can single handily win us this title. He needs to put together that form for 5-6 games.
 
Absolutely fuming with him at the end there for completely bottling that 50/50 with the keeper, could have easily have nicked it for a tap in. If they'd have scored from that corner it would have been unforgivable.
 
Great finish and than looked like he was infected by the crap finishing from everyone else.

He was a bit half-hearted going in on Raya at the weekend as well. No Nat Lofthouse.
 
ahah tense post match interview. He’s right though it’s top of the league and 3 points. Who cares how, we can’t be perfect every game
 
Scored the crucial goal. Would also expect him to score that one on his right foot, wasn't given much more other than that. Put in a shift for the team, regularly filled in when another forward wasn't getting back in, good performance overall.
 
Some serious contempt from Haaland to the Sky interviewer after the game. Glad he saw through it and put the record straight.

 
When the ball was fizzed at home by cherki and he tried to control it and instead it bounced uo from his foot and straight off his face sort of sums him up.

A very strange player. Not really a great football player but he obviously scores a lot of goals!

Assume he will be given Saturday off
