Will we win the league this season? No

Secure the points from now until the Villa game and see where we are without doing anything gung ho. Villa look like they will have qualified for CL by the last game hopefully their minds on an Europa league final
Playing for a place in the that Europa final team. You can twist any scenario the way you want to twist it.

Worth noting too that a game like that is a come down after such a huge win.

We got the win, now we build on it for the run in.

Straight shoot out, 3 home games, 2 away games. Play the game in front of you.

Arsenal now play 2 league games before us, we'll know the task before we go to Everton.

I'm not sure why. But I've now got an overwhelming sense of negativity. Tongint bizarrely feels like we've dropped points. It just feels like the momentum has swung back in Arsenal's favour
We probably still have to win 5 games out of 5, getting 15 points, before goals even come into it. They have to do the same.

30 points left to play for between both teams, let's be happy for the 3 points and getting the job done just 3 days after the toughest game, physically and emotionally, of the season. The players were clearly fucked tonight, so just taking the 3 points is huge.

It feels like a pivotal season for us to me.
If Arsenal win, they'll be top dogs for a couple of seasons.
But if City win, we'll be beginning a new dynasty as Arsenal come to the end of their final chance having strained everything for 5 years to acheive it.
Whereas City, with their new, young squad with cup and title winning experience behind them, will have few challengers as they all appear to be entering their own 'transition' periods.

City could easily do a repeat of the fourpeat....IF we win it THIS season.

Nah I think we'll piss it next season whatever happens in the next month

Some people are beyond help.

Which team do we think has more chance of winning the next five in a row?

The team that have won their last five, have momentum and experience in finishing a season well to secure a title.

Or

The team that have lost their last four domestic games, have let a 10 point lead slip, are known bottlers and have to play two tough games against a Simeone Atleti in between their games?

If arsenal had won on Sunday and played that game tonight they would have lost or drawn.
The pressure would have got to them.
It doesn't with our players

Just got home. Fair bit of negativity leaving game.

Yes I hoped and expected a bigger win but we're top with 5 left. Take that all day and especially a few weeks ago.

Every game for both teams will be nervy now. We won, we're top and we have a semi final coming where we can maybe swap one or two who need a rest.

Arse could quite easily drop 2 points before we next play. And if they don't, we'll still have our destiny in our hands.

Great win, great night, Come on CITEH

Exactly what I think.
Arsenal win it they might win one or two
If they don't win it they fold.
Sack Lego head.
And end up at a road block.
Spent loads of money..won nothing what do we do now.
On the other hand.
If we win it it will be unexpected..in a transition season to win a domestic treble could give pep a fresh push..this side a year or two maybe three ahead of the plan..
This could be the difference between pep retiring and pep getting a new unexpected passion.
This season with this group of young special players like cherki.
O'Reilly..kus at centre half..this could be the strat of a new unplanned domination
