26 | Savinho - 2025/26

It's not as if he doesn't have a decent peg on him like Doku. He does. He just cannot shoot and score for the life of him. Bizarre. Would love to know what goes on in his head during a match

Very predictable with what he does runs on right comes inside and then does fuck all

Easy to defend against - not sure what people mean when they say he has improved recently

That attempt was bad at end

He normally goes on the outside. Today was a little unusual when he cut in. His control and dribbling are OK but not at Doku level.
Not sure if his shooting will ever improve as I presume it is something Pep has him practising every day Just sets himself up wrong.

For the umpteenth time. What does Pep see in him? He doesn't have the acceleration to go past his man on the outside. He can't release the ball properly when he cuts in on the inside. His shooting is dire, with very rare exceptions (good curling shot that forced their keeper to make a save — that was it). If by accident the full back fucks up and he gets past him his crosses are downright poor. He gets caught in possession.
He is absolutely not at the level required for this club.

He literally went past his man about 5 times in 25 minutes today. His shooting his shocking but I still think there is a player in there.

At what point do we say “enough is enough” though? I backed him and gave him the benefit of doubt during his 1st season. He has qualities and I was sure his end product would improve. If anything it has gotten worse.

His G/A returns are much worse than players in the PL that we wouldn’t want anywhere near our side. I’m 46, haven’t kicked a ball in anger for 15 years but if I was playing wide forward in this City team, my returns would be no worse than his.

This can’t continue.

Played well, missed everything.
This sums him up for me.

He always looks a threat, has a good touch, plays some decent passes, seems to get into good positions.
But can't seem to get the final bit right.

He's clearly a good player, its just whether he can ever become more productive. Doku is not dissimilar in that sense, but has become SUCH a threat that even the similar lowish output isn't as criticised.

I've defended him for ages.....but I was wrong.
Pep and the management seem to rate him really highly, but our eyes don't lie. If the stories about Spurs making an offer last summer are true, then we've really missed a trick not selling him.
Nunes has overcome early doubts to be a solid right back option, but when struggling a bit he was being played out of position, and never as bad as Savinho.. I just can't see how he becomes good enough for us

No , not true.
We sold Bobb and McAtee instead for very good money
