Season Card taken away after 50 years!

What a daft comment that is, why would they want rid of as many as possible, and then have to sell many more for next season ?
For day trippers, I pay around £22 a game SSL3, they can sell that for £50, ye that seat might empty for a shit Wednesday night but they’ve already made that money and the person in it will spend a lot more on matches than me.

They need both, otherwise there'll be thousands empty next season, and that's no good for the club.

I think the 10 game rule will fizzle out again eventually (or be decreased at least), but that will depend on demand in the new seats. The fact you can transfer to more people will also help both club and fans.

Question for others, if you go with someone in your family and friends list, you can both download the ticket on more than phone, ie me and my son both have the option to each others phones, are you able to gain access for the same game from just the one phone, as we've never tried it ?

Tried ordering a chip muffin from the chippy with somebody from the club behind him in the queue. Said person has then gone into the club and told them what an absolute bellend he is and they've recinded his season ticket

Fair enough if you ask me.
There'll be thirty thousand STs being snatched back by the club then!

NAIL ON HEAD

Take away 18x22 and replace with, as a MINIMUM, 5 x 50 (or more as part of hospitality package for big games) plus shop purchases. Doesn’t matter the seat could be empty for 13 games, they’ll more than double their money EASILY.

Yes you can.

Exactly the same happened to me last May. I'm a full time carer for a blind invalid parent and am 3 hours away. There was no way I could attend many games in person, but all 19 tickets were listed and used by blues.

I got an email and call from the ticket office saying I would only be entitled to a flexi if the same happened this season. I could see the writing on the wall and didn't renew. I tried all the avenues, but ultimately, they wanted me out and those 5 games via United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs back so they can sell them to tourists for daft money and also milk them whilst at the campus. They couldn't give a feck about me having the other 14 games as they can't extort day-trippers in those games. The reality is that they hate the idea of fans having those games as part of a cheap seasoncard and would rather sell them to whatever rich fecker they can find.

In short, the club is just a business and they don't give a toss about anyone. Once the facial recognition kicks in, the burner phone work around will be useless and thousands more will be ejected. Eventually they will conjure a plan to not have any of those 5 big games included in your seasoncard if they believe they can sell them as individual seats to 'visitors'.

The sad reality is that Manchester City Football Club, is now just a front for a money grabbing sporting franchise.

The club has advanced in so many ways. And is unrecognisable from the club that Swales presided over. Yet it's nonsense like this that makes you despair. Is there no common sense in the ticket office?

Its very sad that you have to miss due to looking after someone. But if you couldn't get to a single game for 2 years running with no possible end of that in sight then surely you should give up your ticket to someone who wants it and can go regularly?

I am looking to get back on to a seaon ticket after years of not having one, its hope to flexi this season, but I dont feel hard done too that I had to give up my season ticket when I did, its just life unfortunately.

They sort of did that with Silvers.

The matchday membership had it mentioned as one of the perks that it got you onto the 'Seasoncard Waiting List'. I don't think they really wanted to have any more season ticket holders, but they were sort of forced into a corner to offer something as it was highlighted as one of the main perks of the membership. I noticed the following year on the membership page they'd removed the wording of being on the waiting list altogether.

They didn't let Silvers upgrade to a Gold the following season, but ended up scrapping the Silvers altogether the second season in presumably due to pressure off fan groups. If they could I think they'd have kept people on Silvers and really cashed in on those more glamorous fixtures.

I knew it was time to give my season ticket up the moment stewards tried to turf me out literally as the final whistle went. I wanted to just sit in my seat for 5 minutes to let everyone get out (I get vertigo in heavy crowds) and the stewards were on my case telling me to go home. There was players still on the pitch clapping fans!! Got threatened with the police for not moving so in the end I went and decided that was me done for a season ticket
