I can really see Nico leaving this summer. Hes at an age he has to be playing more and it feels like Pep only really sees him as a back up player. With that in mind and Bernardo leaving, i wouldn't be suprised to see Anderson +1 coming in. No idea who, but i doubt it's Wharton as again he will want be playing regularly and behind Rodri and Anderson, he will be backup.

That's my guess too.
Unfortunately I think Nico G and Kova are gone (with Bernie) and Rodri stays out his 1 year and doesnt extend (tragically).
Meaning our depth is Reijnders at 8 (meh?), Reis at 6 (but very raw), and O Reilly as 6/8 but also LB (I personally would see him as like half a player for each spot).
Think we would need another player in there, unless Pep feels comfortable using an academy player as extra depth.
Why don't you like Wharton?

Anderson has 6 goals in 116 Premier League games.
He asked if he signed, not if he was registered. Like when we announced Haaland on May 10th four years ago

He has played most of his games under 2 very defensive coaches in Nuno & Dyche. Vitor has given him a bit more freedom and he has 2 in 10 under him which given the number of games played would give him double figures at. that. average for the season. Which playing for us would be a reasonable return. He has as it stands scored as many prem goals this season as Declan.
I know you're replying to a point, so not aimed at you, but if we get Anderson (or Wharton or another alternative) then we aren't buying them for their goals but for everything else that they do.
It's a different position, but its still like saying Khusanov doesn't get enough goals. It really doesn't matter as long as it helps the team win.
That was totally different Haaland had permission from his club at the time! Should know that the amount of noise about it at the time! Should know also that nothing will happen with Anderson till after the season ends, if we get him!
Wonder whether we try this again next season, way to get Reis more game time as he's 5th choice CB and he will be fine being 2nd choice behind Rodri

Anderson and Wharton are different players, Anderson is more the player we need to play alongside Rodri as an 8 and Wharton would be more if it was to replace Rodri. I think if we buy Anderson he’ll play in a more advanced position,or box to box, than he does at Forest and he’ll get more goals and assists.

I agree that we need energy and physicality in midfield, but if he were playing with Rodri, then one would expect a considerable uptick in terms of goals and assists. If he is playing instead of Rodri, much less so, but then is he better at deputising there than Gonzalez?
