Something yesterday and very apparent whilst on our travels around London and outside and inside Wembley was how nearly all Chelsea fans of all ages respect MCFC . Being on there “Manor” and especially the tube the tube journeys we had some great banter with Chelsea fans especially the older generation really respectful and joining in top banter . Real eye opener in these difficult social times .
I get the impression they want to be us maybe ?
Top class all day every group of Chelsea fans we bumped into .

They were friendly all day. Saw many of them congratulating Blues for our win and hoping Arsenal blow it. It was a great vibe all day. Ended the day round Marylebone which was mixed in all pubs. No trouble at all.

They were fine from what I saw, same as in Porto

If anything it was some of our fans being a bit dickheadish after the game. Saw a lone Chelsea fan being followed and heckled/taunted by about 20 blues through the pink coach park. Fine to celebrate a win but thought that was a bit snide when the lad was on his jack. Though no doubt the reverse might well have happened had we lost

That said, not sure why a small group of young arsenal fans decided to walk past our end singing their daft songs in their shirts pre match

Chelsea certainly wasn't a good place to visit in the 70s/80s , you had to watch your back, and your accent .. even though their club had a reputation as THE glamour club of London back then, with players like Osgood, Charlie Cooke and Ian Hutchinson, and the King's Road on their doorstep.

But their fans do seem to have mellowed a bit nowadays.

I think a lot of them expected City to win because of their own clubs shortcomings, so it wouldn't have been any real surprise to many of them.

Don't think Chelsea have ever received the praise and respect from the media for their many achievements.
Understand that the Russian ownership and early expenditure was seen as a threat to the Red Arse Cheek media.
But, their investment into both their Youth and Women's teams was ahead of any other club...

Yeah. Shared a table in McDonalds with a couple. Good banter, respect us as a club, want us to beat Arsenal to the title.
I'm pretty sure that a majority of fans of other clubs want us to beat Arsenal to the title. Their style of football, and moreso their deluded, arrogant fans, are not well liked throughout the country. Obviously, there's also a sizeable element that want to see us fail because of the whole 115 saga. Guilty until proved innocent, yeah.
