Will we win the league this season? No

Everton away
Forest at home
Bournemouth away (to an extent)
Brighton away (to an extent)
Chelsea at home
Brighton at home
Spurs away
Spurs at home
Sunderland away
West Ham away
Rags away

Probably loads more but that Everton game was the one. The league went that night.
Looking at that list, we were lucky to even be in a title race.

Arsenal aren’t good enough to be champions in the majority of seasons since 2015/16 IMO - they’ll have a similar list to their name.

I think they’ve been better in the past 3 seasons where they finished second. Funny old game.

Whoever won it this season weren’t particularly ‘good’ champions. Whatever that means/is.

The Rags I agree but after the scousers won it I wouldn't be that arsed about them winning it again.
I just hate the us v Liverpool narrative. We won 2 then 4 in a row , a domestic quadruple, THE treble - they won everything once over the same period. It was a rivalry in the same way Robinson v La Motta was a rivalry in that we smacked them about constantly and they won once.

Congrats Arsenal. They deserve it. Hopefully we will be back next year.

No they don’t. There’s a difference between deserving it and being the least shit and handed it on a plate by officials and the PL. That’s a disservice to previous teams that did deserve it.

Yes I know that sounds like sour grapes but I don’t think anyone other than Arsenal fans think their antics should deserve anything. We didn’t deserve it either we haven’t been anywhere near good enough consistently.

The only positive I can find right now is that Arsenal have been absolutely shocking but profited from no real challenger. I don't think the style, methods or quirks of Arteta have actually made a difference but he will be convinced they work.

Get our act together and we will run away with it next season. They might have got over the line this season, but I don't believe they've got multiple titles in them unless we fail to turn up again.

I said no at the start of the season. Thought we'd get 75/80 points which has pretty much played out. We have been a bit better since Feb (15 unbeaten is reasonable form), but what came before then especially with the dropped points at home from winning positions against average teams killed us in the end. Away draws at tuff places like Everton and Bournemouth are not the issue. Dropped points repeatedly at home from winning positions is the issue

Some positives but work to do in the summer!!

With Maresca?

I'm happy with the season. We had no real right to get this close in a title race. The football is doing downhill in quality and that's due to poor signings and Peps stubborness sometimes not picking inform players. It's time for change. It's also a wake up call to those that thought this was a walk in the park after the Arsenal game. Don't become what we hated in the rags.
