A lot of their fans were clapping when both Bernardo and Stones were substituted. Pretty decent of them. Not all.

And hopefully never will againHas thet ever happened in a game before, if it has I haven't seen it.
Guess that’s normalA lot of their fans were booing as well
It was nice but agree a bit ott. We'd be slating the dippers if they did it. I'm also not certain villa would've indulged us if the score were the other way roundThought it was ridiculous myself.
Me too mate. Was shouting to get the fck on with it. It was a league game ffs not a testimonial or that charity game they have at Owe Trafford.Thought it was ridiculous myself.

I think John Terry had a guard of honour when he was substituted in his last game for Chelsea.Has thet ever happened in a game before, if it has I haven't seen it.
Beat me to it .Chelsea did it for John Terry if I'm not mistaken?
My experience is every single one I’ve met away from the game is sound. Not too anti City and mostly positive about us and our football. Worked with a couple and the Mrs has a mate who’s married to one etc. never had any real arguments with any of them away from the match. From personal experience, I don't think Villa fans - as a collective - really started to behave like bellends until that 2020 League Cup Final. I'd always found them ok before then - you could certainly drink in the pubs around Villa Park on a match day without too much hassle going right back to my first away game there in 1991. That said, recent trends were bucked when I met one in Portugal the weekend before last who was fine and was buzzing that he had a ticket to their final in Istanbul, and bizarrely when following the buses around the parade route yesterday I got talking to someone who I presumed was a City fan but turned out to be a Villa fan.
Yeah, I think all the club's touches have been nice, but I thought it was a bit much for the Villa players. Bernie will be playing at another CL club and Stones another PL club in August, they're not dying lmao.Thought it was ridiculous myself.

I remember being over for a game against them a good while back (the Balotelli hat trick game, IIRC). Was in the Waldorf before the game and got chatting to 3 or 4 middle aged Villa fans. Have to say, they were the soundest people; they'd pass for City fans. We got chatting about that great side they had in the early 1980s; they were very knowledgeable, and in no way gobby. Compare and contrast to the wankers at Wembley in 2020.My experience is every single one I’ve met away from the game is sound. Not too anti City and mostly positive about us and our football. Then I start to like them, until we play them and I come into contact with their match going fans and they’re utter bellends. Sunday should have been a good laugh, both fan bases celebrating trophy winning seasons and respect across both players.
Some of their fans clapped and a small amount stayed for the presentation which was nice, but a lot were the usual gobshites, booing and jeering Stones and Bernardo and were well mouthy before and during the game.
They were cunts at Wembley in 2020 and again in 2022 when we won the league. Constantly singing about Salah scoring when he hadn’t to get a reaction and mouthing off when we were losing, they all immediately left at FT that day too, which was poor considering the vitriol they’d given out.
Compare to West Ham, who we’ve had two final days with, who genuinely seemed pleased for us and didn’t mouth off at all, it’s night and day.
Villa have something of the Rags and Scousers about them. A toxicity in their fanbase that makes them unlikeable. What is bizarre though is that it only manifests when they’re at games it seems.
They booed Gareth Barry and made fake money for when we played them. From personal experience, I don't think Villa fans - as a collective - really started to behave like bellends until that 2020 League Cup Final. The entire Delph scenario as well, lost their mindsThey booed Gareth Barry and made fake money for when we played them.
3 or 4 days in Hull Old Town pubs ? My idea of heaven. He must have stopped over in a city centre hotel for a day or two after Sundays game, and wandered into our parade crowd on bank holiday Monday ..... that's the sort of thing I'm more than capable of doing myself if citys last game is in a city worth staying over in, and they've got any kind of celebration going !
You get some of your best days and nights out when you least expect to !
I went on my own to watch City in a friendly at Hull City back in 2004, which we won 4-0 ... i fully intended returning back to Manchester after the game, but i ended up stopping there three or four days, getting bladdered each night and clubbing it with a couple of Hull City fans!!
Wife wasn't best pleased on my eventual return though, she's never really liked to see or hear of me enjoying myself !
