I'm bored now. When does the new season start?

Also I believe they have almagamated two international breaks in Sept/Oct so no games after Sept 20th and return Oct 10th
Which is very fortunate as I’m in the states for 16days at the same time

is anyone else bored yet?

thankfully there's a world cup starting in about, oh, ages!!

hate the close season it just seems to drag and drag
That'll be a stream of comments about who plays for the Rags, who played for the Rags, who supported the Rags, who, as four-year-old ran around the streets of Calcutta, Shanghai, Quito, Tblisi 'n Wagga Wagga wearing a rag shirt with Cuntona on the back, who's wearing red shirts, Sir Wolfman of Leytonstone in the presidential box currently kissing Trump's arse and St Bruno lighting up the tournament. I'm bored already.

I'm actually glad there's no football for a few months, it's been a mentally exhausting season so I'm glad of the break.

My daughter has loads of football and I've loads of other things to do now on weekends.

No interest in this shambles of a world cup.

At least we have world cup to look at any decent player being transfer connected to the rags. We can also watch pundits talk up their current crop of players to extreme heights. We can watch mainoo do a basic side ways pass and be compared to pirlo. All a while it's getting the rag fans up to giddy excitement levels thinking the glory days are back.
Then the season starts and every rag is wandering why clubs have figured out their kick and rush tactics, refs are blowing for wrestling fouls, their flashy new signing based on a world cup performance who now looks like dog shit. And the mediocre cycle is well in motion.

When does the new season start? Hopefully not until the authorities have knocked their heads together and announced that playing rugby union at set pieces will not be allowed from now on.

Would like to be home first game but think it will be someone like Everton away. It's definitely not randomised as we wouldn't play United/Liverpool/Arsenal on the first day.

Does anyone know if the kick-off time has been confirmed for the Community Shield yet? I've seen 3pm and TBA mentioned in some places but can't see anything definitive. Looking at booking my train sooner rather than later

Count the days down :

A week later than usual to prioritise player welfare, allowing for an 89-day break from the previous campaign and 33 days of recovery following the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in July

The hosts state 4pm as per link above. Whether it’s subject to change, no idea.

Exciting times ahead folks.

New manager, new philosophies, new players.

We may win nowt, who knows?
Hopefully but sounds like he's Peps clone. I'd like us to unleash Haaland a lot more. Teach the players to see that slide pass or through ball a lot earlier.

Happy with the break and genuinely looking forward to next season to see what we'll look like. I think some of the shackles will be released on some of our creatively minded players - but who's to say what that will bring.
