A disgraceful undermining of the Ticket Points system - again

Has anyone got their ticket points for being on the fa cup scheme or know when they usualy get added? Not had mine added yet...
I just looked when my League Cup and UEFA scheme points were added and both dropped on 24th March.

That was two days after the League Cup final and seven days after we exited the CL. Based on that, FA Cup points will presumably appear within the next week or so.

Just logged on to my Man City account and it says - Loyalty Point Cashback, which used to be ticket points. Anyone got any ideas?

I’ve said for a while now the ticket points system needs looking at properly. I’m not saying scrap points altogether, but there’s definitely ways of making it fairer without upsetting people who’ve built loads up over the years.

• Keep points, but don’t let them completely dominate
Points could still decide priority windows and first access, but not make it basically impossible for everyone else.

• Bring in a ballot element
Once the top points holders get their share, the rest could go through ballots. Something like:
– 50% high points holders
– 30% ballot for mid/lower points
– 20% open ballot for eligible fans

At least that gives more fans a proper chance while still rewarding loyalty.

• Cap the advantage after a certain level
Once you hit a massive points total, extra points shouldn’t count as much. Feels like the same people end up getting everything otherwise.

• Reward recent attendance more
Put more weighting on the last few seasons instead of lifetime totals. Stops dormant accounts sitting ahead of active matchgoers.

• Sort the OSC allocations out
A lot of fans think OSC allocations are a bit too vague. More transparency would help, and maybe tie allocations more to actual attendance rather than just membership.

• Maybe introduce a bit of rotation
If you’ve already done loads of aways that season, your priority drops slightly for certain games. Doesn’t punish loyalty, just spreads tickets around a bit fairer.

No system’s ever gonna please everyone, but there’s definitely ways the club could improve it without completely binning the loyalty side of things.
And what about the other 20% that go to hospitality, ticket partners and staff.
What is your answer to that problem ?
Why are ticket partners getting any away tickets ?

How about this ,on a normal 3000 ticket allocation
50 % ,circa 1500 tickets to the loyalty points scheme

15% circa 450 tickets to the 18/25 and juniors( not to come out of the loyalty points scheme pot,as it presently does)

15% circa 450 tickets to the supporters clubs

10% circa 300 tickets to go to ballot for people who miss out on the loyalty scheme or through membership.
So if the tickets available to the loyalty scheme sell out at 23000 points, anyone under that, and holds a season ticket or membership can apply.

10% circa 300 tickets to corporate and club staff.

Why do people continually want to penalise the 1 group out of the 4 who presently get away tickets ie the loyalty points scheme, who are the 1 group that has earned their points.

Why is their ire not directed at the 600 tickets that are presently controlled by the club and seeming go to any Tom,Dick and Harry.

There's no perfect solution but your suggestion is much fairer than the current one.

Away tickets should be given out based on number of away games attended within a set rolling period - such as the last 3 years.

The current points system means those at the top of the tree are guaranteed to stay there until they stop going or die.

The junior pull through is great, as is the 18-25 allocation for away games but what happens when they turn 26? Sorry mate but to the back of the queue as there are supporters in their 50s who have had an extra 25 years to build up their points.

That can’t be right.

Those with the highest points have earned their right to sit at the top table but it isn’t fair on the young’uns.

Points should reset back to zero after a set period of time. Then points should be allocated on each fixture you attend

I have 22 k points and all I get is an away game in in Brighton on a Wednesday night in November

So really you’re asking for a ballot, because there couldn’t be a priority as everyone would be on zero

The club and City matters did away with the away points system, there by destroying people's ability to move up and down the ladder.
As for your point on death, you would be amazed how many of the highest point people have died over the last 5 years.
What you're complaining about now is exactly what I was complaining about 50 years ago when I was at the back of the old token system .
No system can account for when you we're born or started watching City.

More disingenuous crap.
With 22000 points you could probably have gone to virtually every away match bar United and Liverpool and the low allocation matches, bournemouth etc.
I went to United but not via points
Check criteria no way you qualified for most games on 22k
Went to Leeds but did not qualify same for Burnley
