Think i’d prefer to see vinny at bayern for another season at least anyway to see if he can back up a pretty successful season. he’s a proper legend and the hype will be similar to pep when he comes but i worry there’s potential for a frank lampard situation if he returns too soon. i think couple of years with maresca is the best option. there’s nothing to say that vinnys better

As much as I love Vinny, he has won nothing of value as a manager.

Confident Maresca will be a good appointment despite following Pep being huge challenge. Winning trophies seen as minimum bar now and Pep won them at ridiculous rate and breaking records. Don’t expect that level in next appointment. Not sure what the success bar is ? A trophy every season? PL every other year?
 
Enrique is the only one that would bring close to the same wow factor as Pep (still not on the same level) but it wasn’t possible so I am happy with Maresca.

Would have been at least pretty satisfied with any of Enrique (obviously), Maresca, Kompany, Emery, Alonso.

Ridiculously dominant at Bayern, walked into a shitshow at Barca and turned them into 2x league winners despite not spending much and fielding a load of academy players. He’s turned Yamal into a future Balon D’or winner, Raphina got 21 g/a in 14 Champions League games, made Pedri one of the best midfielders in the world, Cubarsi their starting defender at 17, Lewandowski should have won the Balon D’or for that ridiclous 20/21 season and was absolutely robbed. Imagine him with Haaland.

They could have got 100 points this year if they pushed a little harder in the last few games. He plays great, fast, attractive football, exactly like we did 17-19.

Like Enrique probably won’t leave Bayern, I doubt Flick will leave Barca. But Pep did and was here for 10 years, so anything can happen.
