Considering we have 4 players with England that could be a monumental disaster.

It needs to be asap imo, so everyone can move on.

I fear it will be dragged into next season, purely for further disruption for us.

I like the way the supposed football finance expert on the Price Of Football podcast has hedged their bets by saying that something has to land on City due to the sheer number of charges. Well, I could allege many things against one person and it might all be baloney or unproven so none of it should stick.

Then, given that it was decided the process should be carried out in private they are now dealing with the pl appeal against the decision before making a public announcement.

This would mean that both verdict and appeal result can all be announced in just one final statement, thus ending the whole witch hunt for good full stop.

This way City wouldnt have to endure more media and public "speculation" and hate during any appeal process after a panel verdict of none guilt.

Unlikely I know given how people spill the beans, but less likely to be leaked if we have won categorically, and could account for why the media are now ramping up their bile in one last effort to damage us while they still can without legal recourse.

The thought of it all carrying on after an announcement of guilt/non guilt is shit to be honest, although I do find this thread entertaining, even if not a single thing has officially happened for anyone to actually comment on in the 6537 pages.

One concern I have had before, at the back of my mind, is similar to this but the opposite, in that MCFC were found guilty of a number of them and it’s gone to the secondary punishment phase in private.

However, I have ruled that out due to MCFC’s behaviour in expanding the Eithad, extending high value player’s contracts, signing new players, agreeing stuff with Maresca and Anderson etc.

Your theory could well be it, but then again, weren’t Pannick and co. Pictured coming and going from the hearings by the media? They must have kept it very secret if an appeal is happening in the background now.

I think there is a difference between the two situations regarding non-cooperation. We knowingly didn’t cooperate with UEFA because we, quite rightly, didn’t trust them with what we regarded as sensitive and confidential business information. We tried to bypass them and go straight to CAS which was refused. CAS did fine us for non-cooperation but reduced UEFA’s fine by 2/3rds to €10 million. I think that was because they were of the opinion that had we (City) presented UEFA with the evidence we presented to CAS then UEFA’s case would have collapsed. They also described the leaks from UEFA as “worrisome” iirc.
I think with the PL investigation we’ve again explored every possible legal avenue we can to retain control over our business details and stop the PL from going on a fishing expedition. That I guess could, and possibly will be, construed as ‘non-cooperation’.

chelsea had no choice the guardian had already got the full story from the whistle blower who did all the bank transfers in cyprus and dont they have £100 million of the russians money set aside for any fines in the future ?

What would they have done with us if Southampton had never spied?

They are two completely different cases.
 
I've read a few comments saying we're guilty of non co operation but I'm sure I read at some point in the last few years. We had been co operating and said to the PL ask for everything you need city will give it, but the piece meal requests need to stop. The pl kept comming back asking for more and more and city said no. That isn't non co operation that's setting a line in the sand isn't it
