Pep to leave at the end of the season

Fuck off!!

FFS, I’m a grown ass 62 yr old man and I already spent a week crying at John, Bernardo and the post-game celebrations!

Now this??

When the supporter starts talking about his daughters and dear departed ones, Pep loses it, I lose it, and my wife just looks at me AGAIN and asks “What are you crying about now?!”

I’m about to lose my Man Card in our house, so you could please place a warning on all tearjerkers from here on out?!

;-)

Pep needs the Keys to the City of Manchester!
He should certainly be given the freedom of the City of Manchester. Not sure how it works or who decides recipients but surely local MP and blue Lucy Powell could start campaigning if she hasnt already.

Honestly the Pep send off, all the media and everything associated, has been so well done and so emotional.

I think he left the right way and it may never quite be the same again but to be so happy that we enjoyed all the memories of his historic run.

Absolutely. But he's gone and I hope the club stops with the Pep stuff now and moves on. The next manager has his work cut out as it is without the ghost of Pep haunting the place.

This week will be the end of it. Monday is a new month and I expect the new chap to be announced early next week. The vids will be loaded and ready to go

The amount of interest in the Pep goodbye has been incredible though. I bet the marketing team are happy. And we are still paying him after all!!

My own personal tribute to him, from the heart. Thanks for sonndtracking the last ten years of my life, Pep. It's been nothing but joyous.

lovely tribute mate & echo many of my own thoughts & emotions.

Also wanted to say keep up the new content City Social content. Always found your videos heartfelt, yet well articulated & personally don't think you get the recognition especially on BM. Do think getting guest speakers are the way to grow via engagement & found the video with Arielle Castillo fascinating listening to stories about her interactions with Pep & experiences at the CFA campus.

i regret now that i never came to Manchester from Estonia to watch one game at the etihad under Pep... Not going to happen anymore ,but still need to make my first visit to England one day.

Maybe - and Id agree...but I also think something has shifted in him.....he is 10 years older than when he came and that changes a person naturally as well.

It will also depend on how the club progresses as well over the next 4-5 years but I certainly wouldnt dismiss it. The emotion he showed was very genuine. Anyone can say words of thanks etc etc but those emotions about the relationships, the city...they were real and at some point he may want to have that back....

AS the old saying goes - its only when its gone do you truly realise how much you liked something. .......
Yeah I could see it one day. Equally with Klopp. I think they are both quite similar. They burn themselves into the ground every year, bust a gut for their clubs, obsess, and have so much passion for the game.

Pep's situation, I think, is complicated further by family life. I am sure he will use this time as quality time with his kids, in Barcelona.

Don't be so surprised to see Pep's CFG "ambassadorial" role converted into a directorial one in 6 month, a year's time, whenever, either...

Until they announce the new man they can put up a bunch of it as far as I'm concerned. After new man is announced we don't say a word for a while, just keep that spotlight from burning.
