Iraola's style is closer to Klopp's gung-ho style. His Bournemouth team's pressing and off the ball work was tremendous. If he can replicate that there, it will be very tough to beat them. But, its easier said than done. A big club appointment doesn't always work for managers like him. Overall gutted if they get him, he came across as a likeable bloke and a better manager than Slot!

He doesn’t have the personality of Klopp. It will be interesting to see how it goes

Quite possibly. I think the most telling thing about their pursuit of him was, despite having already got Ekitike for £70m and him doing ok, and despite a defence that badly needed a boost and some kind of succession plan, they still went for isak. Either that's poor planning or getting swept away in a flood of emotions. Knowing Liverpool FC, probably both.

I mean, they could have bought Semenyo, Guehi, Cherki and say somebody like Hincapie for almost the same as one Isak. Which suggests their finger is somewhere else rather than on the pulse...

On another forum (not a Liverpool one) I urged caution last summer. Guys were acting like the title was a foregone conclusion based on the hype of the players they signed. I had to remind them that trophies are won on grass from March to May, not on paper in August.
