Managed to squeeze it in 40th article down under the pathetic guise of paying Bunny too much!Doesn't seem to be any mention of this on the Daily Mail website
In defence of their goalie, the ball did bounce right in front of her from Alex's free-kick.Well done to the Women's team today. Withstood that early Brighton pressure quite well despite us being off-form. There were only really a couple of instances of real threat that were eventually snuffed out by either Yamashita or Rose who along with Blinky I thought were the only players to stand tall in that first half hour. We then started to find ways through the Brighton press and start creating some chances of our own. A wonderful cross from Greenwood found Bunny at the back post who rose higher than a floundering keeper to get the scoring under way. Would put the keeper at fault for the 2nd as despite the free-kick from Greenwood heading to the side of the goal she was supposed to be protecting she left far too much space and was not quick enough to get down to get near saving it. 2-0 at the break was probably always going to be enough.
A fairly low-key start to the second half which improved with the substitutions around the hour mark with Fujino and a welcome return for Miedema added more impetus into our attack. And it was Viv who set her Dutch compatriot Casparij free on the right wing and the assist queen did what she's been doing all season with a pinpoint cross for Viv to head home. A final flourish with the 4th goal from Fujino after a lovely flowing move set the icing on the cake.
