45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

The Uzbek league is probably National League North or Northern Premier League standard
Struggling to think of a bigger gulf in quality between an international team’s best and worst player in the history of the sport
Best and 1960s Northern Ireland? Kinky and Georgia? Litmanen and Finland?

i'll throw in peak George Weah's Liberia.

Even by AFCON standards, Liberia were absolute dross.

Shomurodov from Uzbekistan is pretty good. He he's played for some decent clubs like Roma.

They've also got a young lad playing in Turkey who is not bad, called Fayzullaev.

Khusanov is definitely head and shoulders above though.

It's definitely not just one good player and a load of Northern league standard players, granted they certainly have a fair few that are lower level, most of them really.

They do have some young players that are definitely better than the players they had in the past, so I reckon they might start producing more good players over the next few years.

Does anyone know where I can get an Uzbekistan World Cup shirt from?

This fetching number, I can only find the old kit.

If you're really committed, you can try the manufacturers site, but it's an Uzbek brand, so good luck...

Phil Foden / John Stones / Kyle Walker and the rest of the England teams of the last 8 years?

I don't want to get too carried way but..he must be up there as one of the best players in the world...of Uzbek origin..playing in the premier league.

Litmanen had much better pöayers in the national team. To mentiona few Hyypiä, Niemi, Forsell, Johansson, Pasanen, Kolkaa, Tainio. All these played in the PL and at good clubs in Europe.
