Hi all,

I hope you are all well.

We’re already starting to plan ahead for next season and are keen to hear your thoughts.

If there’s anything you’d like to see change, improve, or be introduced with the matchday bus services, please let me know. Your feedback is really valuable in shaping what we do and I would like you all to have your say.

You can reply on here or, if you’d prefer, drop me an email at matchdaybus@tfgm.com

Thank you :-)

Reduce the price ;), other than that I can’t fault the service. In regards the last bus of the season, i know loads missed it but at the end of the day it did say 7pm, we had 10 mins of extra time which didn’t help. I left just as Stones came out, it’s unfortunate but these things happen. It did drag on for ages with them bringing others out first as well.
Anyway here’s to next season and a great service, did I mention reducing the price :)

There need to be many more shuttle buses back to town. The drivers need to make sure they are full before they set off. They need to stay till after the match finishes. I rarely get one because they leave too early. You should lobby the council for proper bus lanes.

I will certainly ask the question (again :-) ) Thanks for your understanding on the last game and your ongoing support this season.

I will feed this back too! They definitely shouldn’t be leaving when they’re not full. Thanks for flagging this.

Someone on this forum mentioned a good idea a while back, shuttle buses to the Central Park and Queens Road metrolink stations that would help ease congestion at the stadium stop and the city centre
Could have been me, that!

Recently I have been walking to Queens Road before and after games but there’s not many doing that so not sure what demand there would be. It would probably need advertising to those travelling on the Bury and Rochdale lines as a quicker alternative (ie a different queue) to get the numbers up but not sure how many would pay a premium for the “shuttle” part. Eventually the Sandhills stop would negate the need too.

I was thinking free! Perhaps with a tram ticket

Issue tickets to those with a bus pass so they can be sure they’ll get on the return bus - they’re usually full now in the way back :-)

You can get on the m14 for that
In an ideal world you would have passengers get off at one of the two stops and a regular shuttle bus picks them up to take them to the stadium. That would reduce congestion in the city centre where they have to swap sardine tins to travel the remaining distance at Piccadilly and reduce queues after the game. It would improve the experience for everyone but I doubt anyone at Metrolink is bothered too much about the passengers’ comfort so don’t expect this to be even considered. The M14 is just a one off bus which is risky in my opinion to use because it might be full when it gets to Central Park and then you have to walk.

MC14 stops at Central Park but I’ll mention Queens Road too! Thank you

I keep asking about this and ways around it, I’ll try figure something out as I know it would put alot of your minds at ease.
