We have paid /Pay EH an enormous amount of money for his image rights. This guy is using those image rights, without permission for personal gain. At the same time he's attempting to unsettle one of our players.
Send hima bill for the unofficial use of those rights, with compensation. Add that in the unlikely event he wins we will bring a charge for tapping up.

Not really. But I can see why, because a claim as explicit as that could suddenlynlead to loads of rogue speculation. For such key players. Away at the world cup, with time for people to let their imaginations run wild. With a new manager coming in already having to deal with the expectation of following Pep, then having that distraction too. Plus the players themselves then being subject to stupid questions while away, and journalists trying to catch them out and put words in their mouths etc.

We don't have a history of selling our best players in their prime to the Spanish giants, unless they have come to the natural end of their time with us. It's one of the reasons Madrid and the head of La Liga despise us. They would both have loved to have signed David Silva, prime Aguero, De Bruyne, Vinny, etc... but like Laporte has since pointed out, there's nothing like playing for City. The way players are treated and taken care of is second to non. Players regret leaving. There's no other club like us.
