Spot on. I'd take getting back what we paid for him. He's nowhere near the level required. He's weak, rash with his final ball and his finishing is ridiculously shite. If we get back what we paid for him Viana has done well. Get back more than what we paid for him he's done very well. That for me is the important factor. It’s all very well people talk about his potential, or being a nice lad or whatever, but he’s an attacker and his end product is fucking woeful.
Semenyo only created 1 assist in 14 Premier League games when played on the wing.
As I keep asking, which player do you want to see replace Savinho and what are the expected numbers (goals and assists) for a third-choice winger that constitute enough to remain?
Thanks Just to clarify, double figures in total, 5 goals 5 assists, or double figures for each category, 10 goals and 10 assists? In the Premier League or in all tournaments?I would say double figures in a season should be expected from a player in a City front three.
If our first choice front three aren’t hitting those numbers then those goals need to found elsewhere. Then we get into the conversation about Reijnders…
Yes, I would say 10 goals should be achievable if you’re playing in the front three for City. Thanks Just to clarify, double figures in total, 5 goals 5 assists, or double figures for each category, 10 goals and 10 assists? In the Premier League or in all tournaments?
Which player do you see us signing who will deliver those numbers (whichever you mean) in the current set up?
Ten goals is more than Doku has managed in any of his three seasons for us 8, 8, and 6, respectively. Marmoush has weighed in with 8 and 8. Semenyo has scored 8 whilst playing as a winger and the others came as a forward.Yes, I would say 10 goals should be achievable if you’re playing in the front three for City.
I have no idea who in world football would come in and hit those numbers - we have a dept with that expertise. Semenyo has come in and is exceeding those numbers pro rata since Jan, so it’s clearly not an unrealistic ask.
As above, if our attacking players are averaging a goal a season then we aren’t going to win anything, whichever way we spin it.
Cherki is our only creative spark in midfield.Given that Semenyo and Cherki can play on the right, why not play McAidoo instead of signing another player?
Right winger market is dead, selling Savinho is a big big mistake
We signed him for somewhere between £22-£30 million depending on who you ask, we'll sell him (if he wants to go) for around £50-60 million, get over your hatred of him and celebrate the profit which is always invested back into the club.Right now the 30 million quid back would be a dream

Savinho posted 4 goals and 3 assists last season, where he was out four times with separate injuries. By contrast, in his first season, when uninjured, he posted 3 goals and 13 assists. He’s never going to be a great goal threat but he does create. Last season saw Haaland, Doku, O’Reilly, Reijnders, and Marmoush all fail to score when he set them up with just the keeper to beat, and those are just off the top of my head.
Finding another player who will get 10 goals and be able to get 10 assists from the wing is not going to be easy, no matter how much we laud our experts, especially when they’ll be playing second fiddle to Doku and Semenyo.
Whoever we bring in *should* be better than Semenyo, it doesn’t make sense to get squad role players when that’s code for “not good enough”Yes, I would say 10 goals should be achievable if you’re playing in the front three for City.

Because that’s kicking the can down the road. Square pegs in round holes. It’s how we end up with squad building issues.Given that Semenyo and Cherki can play on the right, why not play McAidoo instead of signing another player?
We need an elite wingerGiven that Semenyo and Cherki can play on the right, why not play McAidoo instead of signing another player?
The guys whack what have you been watching 60m is daylight robberyRight winger market is dead, selling Savinho is a big big mistake
