Yep, and in a few months it’ll be autumn, then winter when I’m in my element. Then spring and then, if everyone is lucky, summer.Fucking dinosaur you are

We be moaning it’s to cold this time next week
Brilliant....lawns cut before half seven this morning then I'm off with our dogs in an hour or so. 2 mile of old railway completely shaded by trees with the estuary on both sides....cool as a cucumber, dogs off their leads as you can see for miles..... Iced coffee at The George 3rd and a lift home off the Mrs.Just back from a morning walk with the dogs. I'm fortunate to live on a public park, and five minutes walk from a nature reserve covered in trees, so we can always find our shade. The dogs are approaching 8, and both had a tough start. They were rescued many years ago now but Bess now shows the impact of her life caged as a breeder on a puppy farm. She is much slower now and slower means everything takes longer. She is now cooling off on the tiled floor with the back of the house opened up to let in the morning air.
It is going to be a scorcher. Stay safe, blues.
I never moan when it is cold. I could quite happily live in a country when it rarely gets higher than 20 oC. My favourite days have always been crisp cold mornings with a blue sky or thick mist. Those days days make you feel alive. We be moaning it’s to cold this time next week
Same for me. We have started shifting our summer holiday to late October now, this year start of November. A nice lodge somewhere, hot tub, log fire in the living room. Walks in the day.I never moan when it is cold. I could quite happily live in a country when it rarely gets higher than 20 oC. My favourite days have always been crisp cold mornings with a blue sky or thick mist. Those days days make you feel alive.
You can imagine how I will feel when I am in Cyprus for close to three weeks from the end of July.
I knew a lad who did come a cropper on his chopper gearstick - lost a b*llock. Ouch. You had a BMX in the 70s ? Thats some futuristic shit there.
Personally had one of those Chopper death traps with the gearstick in the middle which is how Aled Jones ended up with such a high voice.
I've got a high metabolism, I don't feel the cold usually. We be moaning it’s to cold this time next week

Temperatures peaked at 40.9C in Paris today - a June record - and the southwestern town of Pissos reached 44.3C, making it the hottest day in France since records began 80 years ago
In other news some fucking shitstain of a mother in France left her kids in the car both have died aged 2 and 4, heartbreaking makes me so angry as it's so avoidable.
There was a reel on Facebook I saw yesterday. Woman in Vegas left her kids in the car whilst she went gambling. Public noticed them unconscious in the car. Luckily the cops got to them in time.Reports suggest the car was at the home in a residential car park, the kids have got into it without the mothers knowledge and not been able to get out. Mother has obviously tried to find them and they have died in extreme heat. Sounds like a tragic accident rather than anything else.
Obviously lots of people will be shouting about being perfect parents and they would never let something like that happen, but kids are adventurous, they like to play, they hide etc etc.... the thought of what that mother must have found when discovering them is horrific.
Had a collie years back. Used to get a 6 inch or so clear tray full of water and put ice cubes with cucumber in it. Was piss funny watching him learn to dunk and pick them up with his mouth. Our big dog isn't taking too it too well. He's a big 8mth old German shepherd and feels the heat a lot, his first summer. The other two are not pleased with less walks either. But it's just too hot for long walks.
Tip.. freeze chicken stock into ice cubes, dogs love em.
