Las Vegas!!!

I love the Vegas. Great atmosphere, very liberating place where anything goes. Be prepared to be accosted by Mexicans handing out business cards for 'adult' services. Drinking while walking down the strip is completely normal. The greatest thing though is that whatever you're into, there's a way to have fun in Vegas. I'd advise that you go and see some shows even if you're there mostly to gamble and drink. Best place to book are these discount booths where discounts vary according to supply and demand. You can get some good deals, up to and including 70% off. There's one at the bottom of Bill's Gambling Hall on the central strip but they've got them elsewhere - I just remember that one because that's the one I used. Fuck the Las Vegas monorail. It's a useless piece of shit that's completely out of the way. The free monorail on the south strip is good, do use that if you're travelling between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. If you don't want to walk everywhere, and you're not using a hire car, get a day ticket on the buses. If you want to go to the Las Vegas sign to pose and take photos, do not walk. It's about a mile away from Mandalay Bay and there's nothing to look at on the way.

Thanks Dude !!

I dont know if/how much you will be gambling but you can get some comps for playing. I wont even mention the fact that you drink for nothing while you gamble. You probably know that but, please, tip the waitresses even if its a dollar. Dont be an asshole and stiff them!!!

Everyone knows and like to play blackjack but it gets a bit boring to me after a while. Idf you dont know how to play craps, that might be fun. There are only a couple of bets you should make on the enitre board. Craps takes money and discipline but it can be a lot of fun!!!

Have at it and let us know how you did and whom you didi!!!

MGM will be fine and a few good tips on here already. Last time I stayed at the Bellagio and although it was great the additional costs of food and drink there were steep and minimum bets were higher than other casinos.
The Deuce bus runs up and down the strip and you can get a day ticket. At first you might want to walk along the strip but you'll soon be going for the bus.
Grand Canyon by helicopter is dear but worth it.
Half price ticket booths for shows are a must and you still get good seats. One thing to point out is you buy a voucher at the booth then you the have to take this to the ticket office at the hotel where the show is on which takes up more time but is worth it on the money saved. Some shows particulary some of Cirque do not offer cheap tickets, but loads of the rest do.
For restaurants you can't go wrong with all the eat as much as you want buffets, I also like Mon Ami Gabi at Paris (bottom of Eiffel tower) or Neros at Caesars. There are so many and can't remember many bad meals over there.
For theme park type rides the Stratosphere is a must even though I bottled Insanity.
If you are playing poker you will find that some of the juice is higher, for example $40 plus $20 but gives you a chance of playing if you don't want to risk higher amounts. Last time I won a tournament at Treasure Island (TI) which although not great value was well run.
If gambling but just up for fun the Pussycat dolls dealers are at Caesars

Vegas - best holiday destination ever.

Went there this year in May for a week, I was worried about what to do etc and if I'd run out of things to do - no need to worry! There's a tour bus that goes around the whole of Vegas, old town, new town, freemont street etc, and gives the whole guided tour, fantastic it was. Cost $35 per person, but its valid for 2 days and you can get on and off wherever you want.

Rented a car and drove to the Hoover Dam and then onto the grand canyon, which was the biggest rip off I've ever encountered. If memory serves me correctly it was $45 per person, to go and see the grand canyon with the horse show (perspex area you can walk onto), you weren't allowed to take cameras etc with you, so there was a guide that took photo's and it cost you $10 per picture. Needless to say we didn't even see the thing, we walked around and drove back. Apparently during the declaration of independence the American government agreed to give the whole area to the native americans, so they can pretty much charge what they want - and we decided to go on memorial day.

If you're into history there's loads to go and see, learn about each hotel, who owned it etc.

As for bars, Gillys was SUPERB - just next to treasure island. Diablo's very close to MGM and Excalibur (our hotel), was our best night there. Next to that there is a fantastic irish bar, with a dancing chinese woman.

really good advice from everyone
Also try to make time for a day trip to The Grand Canyon and The Hoover Dam
Stunning places to visit
I know your only 21 and will want to party but they are worth checking out
