Etuhu to leave City
Striker to become a free agent

Skysports.com understands Kelvin Etuhu is set to leave Manchester City on a free transfer.

Etuhu, who has come through the youth ranks at City, is thought to be close to agreeing a deal to cancel his contract.

The 22-year-old has found himself well down the pecking order at City and both parties are ready to go their separate ways.

Etuhu enjoyed a season on loan at Cardiff last term and helped the Championship club reach the play-off final where they lost to Blackpool.

The move to cancel his contract will leave Etuhu free to find a new club in January and there are thought to be a number of clubs waiting in the wings to sign the versatile attacker.

Never really seen him in a blue shirt but went on loan a few times and didnt really impress, Good Luck lad all the best!!

Has never shown anything to suggest that hes prem class, but could be a decent championsip player.

Good luck in the future Kelvin. Once a blue, always a blue.

Clubs on Etuhu trail
Young attacker set to be available on a free transfer

Skysports.com understands a number of clubs are ready to swoop for Kelvin Etuhu on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old attacker is set to be released from Manchester City where he has dropped well down the pecking order and Championship sides are preparing to pounce.

Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and Coventry are thought to be targeting his signature, while Premier League outfit Blackpool are also eyeing his situation.

Etuhu came through the ranks at City but has only managed 15 first-team appearances for the club, and he is now in search of more regular action.

He has previously enjoyed loan spells at Rochdale, Leicester and Cardiff, but did not manage to find the back of the net for the Bluebirds last season.

With many options ahead of him, it remains to be seen where Etuhu opts to choose in a bid to get his career up and running.

This will happen more and more as only the special talent will make it into our first team, in the past we have had to rely on medeocre youngsters who "show potential" as they have been our only option. Ask yourself if Stephen Ireland was coming through the ranks now would he be in the first team squad? I don't think he would have been close yet so many fans believed he was the second coming of Jesus, only because of how poor our squad actually was. I wish the lad well but lets be honest not many of our younger players are gonna be good enough for where we're gonna be goin
