There is a station near the ground abt 5 min walk which takes you straight to the main station in town

Hi, there are three close Subway stations (around 5-10 Minute walk) from the ground which take you to the main station, the ride takes another 5-10 minutes, so you should be within half an hour back at the main station. Just take it easy when the game is over, if you take the 23.53 you have plenty of time. Also buy some food and drinks because the ride back will take over an hour and you can rest a little bit. You don't need another train ticket for this one because you are within the 3 hours before and after the game range and also it is a normal train and not the fast ICE.

Translation: From the main station you can take the regional trains to the station Westfalenhalle or you can go via sub to the Westfalenhallen/stadium

or follow the others ;-))..

Many places to get a couple of beers for the train at that time of the night? (would be to late for me to bother with that food stuff though :-))

Unless there`s no trains back after the game Black_Yellow .
Any help reguarding the train times after the game would be greatly appreciated m8 .
The one at 22:45 is probaly not to catch...because the game is over at 22:30#

I would take this one:
Dortmund Hbf
Di, 04.12.12
ab
23:53
1:30
0
S
Düsseldorf Hbf
Mi, 05.12.12
an
01:23

You also have to keep in mind that aorund 3 hours after the game you can travel on your match ticket but not on the fast ICE trains!

Taxi to Düsseldorf will cost you around 120-150 Euros...so depends on how many people you are...

Hope that helps!
I've taken a taxi from Dortmund to Dusseldorf when City played friendly 2 years ago and it was 80Euros, split between 4 of us was 20Euros each so for
those who don't want to wait around you can be back in Dusseldorf in around 45 mins

I'm there! Is it best to drink in Dussledorf then travel to the match in the early evening, or go straight to Dortmund when I arrive you reckon? (Flying to Dussledorf international early morning on the day.)

That is a great deal!
Not sure if the prices will be the same.
But still ok if you go with 4 people.

I would take the train and would go straight to Dortmund:
Christmas Marke, City welcome Party, lot's of Pubs in the City, drinking spots outside of the stadium.

If you take the normal train you can take some drinks with you, if you take the ICE they have a pub on board ;-)...

-- Mon Nov 12, 2012 5:49 pm --

quote]

Just get something in the Main station in Dortmund, prices are a little bit higher but still fair and ok!
