SALFORD!
as the title says really?

I have found a decent deal for a hotel called the Delphin Palace Hotel for 2 weeks in July for me the missis and our baby.

I just cant find much on line about the resort,(the hotel is is ranked a #6 out of 225 in Antalya so must be ok)?

has anyone been? is there much to do as i dont want to be stuck on a complex for 2 weeks. also what are the prices in restaurants and bars like in the area

cheers

Re: Has anyone ever been to Lara Beach, Antalya , Turkey?

We went to Turkey once. Never been since and dont think we ever will again.

Other than that sorry cant help.

I did Antalya a few years ago and stopped in one of the beach hotels (Lara) personally found it to be a bit busy for myself, we don't have kids but I wouldn't personally like it so busy, my Mrs just had me shopping all the time!

The year after we went to Olu Deniz on recommendation of a Turkish mate and found it to be fantastic, nice peaceful beach cove, decent restraunts and beach, loads of water sports etc and plenty of trips to historical places.

I stayed at the delphin palace a few years ago and loved it , plenty for kids
waterslides mini funfair realy good hotel , and i think you can also use the other
delphin hotels in lara aswell,

As for Lara it`s basicaly a long strip of 5 star AI hotels with a few shops outside
not many bars outside of hotels unless you go into Antalya,

Off to the liberty lara on thursday can`t wait.

Stayed in the Barut Lara 3 years ago, we don't usually do all inclusive, but got to say it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. As already said, there wasn't a lot outside the hotels, but Antayla is nice and worth a visit. Beware the Russians though, they make the Germans look like model citizens.

I'm not keen on all inclusives as I like to get out and about discovering nice little restaurants. Went to Lara beach 3 years ago. The area outside the hotel was just one or 2 bars on a busy main road. Not my cup of tea really but no complaints about the hotel and food.

Give me Greece any day of the week :)

Much as I love Greece and her islands, Turkey can be every bit as great too .... all depends what you want, and where you go for it ...
