Old long forgotten City songs

There's a tavern in the town in the town
And were going to burn it down burn it down
Were gonna hang Dalglish from the nearest fucking tree
For all you scouse bastards to see to see
There's a circus in the town in the town
Where Matt Busby is a clown is a clown
There's Denis Law and Bobby Charlton too
The biggest par of bastards wearing football boots.

Oh Rodney,Rodney
Rodney,Rodney,Rodney,Rodney,Rodney Marsh

(sung to the tune of Son of my Father - Chicory Tip).

In Dublin's fair city
Where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Johnny Crossan
As he wheeled his wheel barrow
Through the streets broad and narrow
Singing
City! City! City!
Remember singing that song with all the City fans at Bloomfield rd in the kop it was covered in those days 66/67 season, and yes Crossan scored the winner that day from the spot.
Those were the days!
Did you go the cup game at Bloomfield Rd. in Jan '66 ( 65/66 season) when we drew with Blackpool 1-1?
I went and seem to remember Glynn Pardoe scoring the equaliser , but the record books say that it was also Crossan who scored that day.

If I had the wings of a sparrow,
If I had the arse of a crow,
I'd fly over to Old Trafford tomorrow and shit on the bastards below, BELOW.
Shit on, shit on, shit on the bastards below, below.

This was around 67-69
At that time some songs had a lot of verses
I can only remember part of this but maybe an older Blue can fill in a bit more

His name is Georgie Best
He is a fuckin big disgrace
Dancing up and down the wing with panties trimmed with lace
When he reaches the corner flag he gives a little twirl
and curtsies like a little girl

Another verse was dedicated to Alex Stepney pointing out his great big ears flapping round his face

All to the tune of Mc Namara's Band
