Fucking brilliant show. The main character (Red) is immense.

I still can't decide whether it's a good show or whether James Spader is just so excellent that he carries it. The rest of the cast are pretty one dimensional and other than Spader it's pretty formulaic, yet he makes the whole thing great viewing.

Watched it since it first aired back when and along with Game of Thrones is my favourite TV show. As others have said James Spader is quality, mind you he was fantastic in Full Metal Jacket.
