If things are as bad as some believe behind the scenes with player unrest etc maybe he is taking Mangala out of the firing line. He's been an easy target for some fans and the media due to his price tag anyway. Mangala is young and it's his first season in this league maybe the thinking is to give him a fresh start next season with a more settled dressing room. Demichelis has experience and has proved he has broad shoulders. Pellegrini did drop Hart till things had settled down for him maybe they are doing something similar with Mangala. Just a thought.

Certainly plausible and would fit Pellers style

Another example was Nastastic. He was dropped but he did not give out the right reaction and was sold.

Plausible but irrelevant if Vinny is out for the remainder.

Wrong way around Ray, he refused to be sold, wanted to play for a place and was consequently frozen out.

I disagree. Pellegrini got the right reaction out of Hart to the point of us winning the title , Nasta didn't respond and is now at Schalke. Demichelis despite getting off to very shaky start at City, where the world and his wife questioned managed to turn it around.

No offence Ray, but you can disagree all you want. It was and is common knowledge at the club.

Non taken but you would question Nasta's mental strength. Both Begiristain and Pellegrini have had a closer dealings with the player.

Non taken but you have to question Nasta's mental strength.

Perhaps you could question the timing of any whinge to the press about his relationship with MP should he have done so after joining Shalke but it was pretty obvious Nasty wasn't a required player in MP's eyes and he hasn't explained ( not that he needs to ) why.

As to his mental strength you wonder whether the number of training injuries MP said from time to time when asked about him he had were on the mark.

Sometimes he forgot to even mention him as missing from action when asked about players not being available through injury.

I believe his point (which I could believe) was why Eli hadn't been playing that often.
