Turning down khedira on a free???? Wow!!

Does the fact he's free increase his ability as a player ?

We need players that will definitely improve the first team.

£50 to charity says the highly paid professional football people that run our club don't go anywhere near him and that he won't sign for us next window.

Fancy it ?

He's signing for bayern mate but it was more the fact that on a free people would turn him down.

And regardless of his ability, he is one more injury prone player that we should avoid

Also, to some poster who says song is free. I haven't checked it , but if he transferred from Arsenal to Barca in 2012 then he would be on a contract og a minimum of 4 years, hence I cant see him being "free"

Given a role like today shielding the back 4 and being the link between them and the midfield and he can do a very good job.

It was a 5 year contract but pretty sure Barca won't be looking for much for him either. Personally even I thought he'd be free this summer.

I have to say that I thought he played well today. Very disciplined as ever and allowed others licence to roam.

Better player in a 3 man mid. But for my money I'd still rather have Dihno and another hustling midfielder like Koke paired with a 3rd ball passer like Gundogan or Modric. The specialist CDM has no appeal for me, except as an option off the bench to be a closer of games or to man mark a particular player.

Some pillock on R Manchester singled him out and wants rid.
Some people just don't get the role of a DM and whinge because they don't make many pretty passes or score many goals.
I read a stat recently that Fernando has the highest pass completion %age in the opponents final third of any player in the PL.
Probably fewer attempts than many others but still a good performance for a guy playing his first English season in an underachieving team.

He won't be sold anytime soon nor should he be IMO.

I agree he is a specialist player and when you set the team up properly he does a job he was bought to do. Really in tougher away games he should of been in a midfield 3 and the problem of the gap between defence and midfield would have been solved.
