I agree.

Joe isn't world class as I think to be a world class keeper you have to be 100% consistent and have pretty much all areas of your game pretty much mastered.

Joe is a world class shot stopper but his distribution, decision making with corners, crosses and free kicks let him down.

I don't think we can underestimate his influence and leadership in the dressing room though, and that is why I think he needs to stay, mentally he is definitely someone we need around the club.

I don't like to get personal but I'm sorry some people just talk total bollocks and this fits the bill.

I can just imagine how that motivational speech goes

Hart "listen lads we all know I'm not good enough and I may cost us a few goals tonight. Try to forget that I can't kick to save my life and couldn't catch a cold but let's get out there and give them hell"

As for Mentality and influence
The only mentality he seems to bring is that he doesn't seem to care about the criticism after all he is bezzie mates with Wazza and he is England's number one.
I would also love to hear how you think a second rate Goalkeeper influences someone like Sergio Aguero
You didn't have to prove people talk bollocks by giving your own example..

Joe is a big character, you can see that on all the city videos and even that time with England when nobody would give him the ball back. Even if you don't like it, that's what you need in there. Look at the difference in squad harmony this year since micah and joleon left, they were both massive characters always having a laugh and even though lesscot barely made an appearance it made a difference to the atmosphere amongst the team.

Will be awesome if we just get a bunch of people who can't talk the same language, bet there's great banter..

Absolute bollocks!

What City need Hart for is branding. Look at most of City's branding that is about passion and it has Hart all over it. For example, the photo of Hart celebrating and the photo of the kid celebrating in City square with the hash tag '#Together' was put on the big screens throughout yesterdays match.

Anything in the dressing room has nothing to do with Joe Hart. Little speeches he may do, but whp.blue is spot on.

I don't have an issue with Joe - I think he's good (but not great) but he'd better be praying Pep doesn't show up at the Etihad because his awful distribution will never work in Pep's system. Neuer is like a sweeper - and whilst he's exceptional - Harts worse that Tony Vaughan and simply can't distribute with confidence. On a related point did city wear studs / blades yesterday?

Appears to me that for a long time Joe's first movement after the opposition take a corner is to push away or attempt to push away the opposition player nearest to him. By doing this he is a) not fully concentrating on where the corner is going and b) losing momentum, and by the time he has built that up again the ball is already in the area.

With this and his ludicrously poor distribution, you would think he could watch the worlds top keepers to see how they act. I did this with Van der sar and Petr Cech a few seasons ago and they very just often booted it straight up the middle and, importantly, very quickly.

Joe hart is a great shot stopper. It's a shame he's bang average at everything else; decision making, distribution, catching, punching... even his positioning is questionable sometimes.

JH is a fantastic keeper......makes the odd mistake here and there but there isnt a keeper anywhere who doesnt (see below)

Least of our problems at the moment. Quality left back and a total rethink over the midfield is more pressing. Also we need more pace throughout the squad. We have built a team around the quick, slow slow that is Yaya which is now past it's sell by date so Joe is down the list of things to worry about. Poor yesterday but had a worldy compared to Cuzan!

Read a stat today which says he has made 8 mistakes this season which have directly led to goals , his distribution is rubbish and I can't see how the defence can have any confidence in him at corners.

We keep him because he is English and because he has never had serious competition for the keeper spot he keeps his place.

I can only hope a new Manager gets rid.

We'll never dine at the top table with Hart in net, that's the sad part of it all.

If he was a forein keeper he'd have been fucked off two seasons ago.
Agreed.

Rubbish
Its the truth and you know it. There's no other reason why we should keep him other than the restrictions placed on us. Why else would we keep a player who's regressed so much? You're one of Hart's fanboys who said DeGea would never be a better keeper than Joe.

That's why the rags have just offered him 200k to stay and not sign for Real.

Just seen Courtois pat down a free kick to the penalty spot where Mertesacker blazed it wide. Eerily identical to Villa's second goal yesterday.

Just checking if the pathetic Hart haters took note? No? Really? Unsurprising.
