It's not that he's just "going straight to Girona" - we are only buying him so Girona can have him. We'll probably release him on a free to them after a year. City probably won't even announce the transfer, except to comment that we have linked up with Girona.

For all the talk of CFG letting us circumvent FFP, it seems that in the end we're going to end up using City's accounts to pay Girona's way into La Liga. We're supposed to be buying at least 2 other players just for their use, too.

Isn't there a limit on non European players per squad in Spain, meaning we can't get many South Americans to send there?
