Well I not concerned as my pension is in property never trusted the whole idea of pension funds. I am pretty sure I am not on my own
What about them stopping tax relief on mortgage interest for buy to let, that will have an impact on profitsWell I not concerned as my pension is in property never trusted the whole idea of pension funds. I am pretty sure I am not on my own
Yep and they'll look at those affected still being far more likely to vote Tory than Labour anyway so there's not too much downside for them.It wouldn't surprise me if they did.
There was a consultation on scrapping tax relief on pension completely in July.
Rather than going whole hog this is a half way house that affects only those on more than £42k
They've already stitched up really high earners by reducing personal tax allowance and from April having a tapered Annual Allownce for 'incomes' over £150k.
Add that to the reduction in Lifetime Allowance and some high earners have virtually lost all their tax relief on contributions already.

Socialists should be rejoicing this potential redistribution of wealth which is why it's such a strange thread.
HahahaYou appear to have the misconception that a lefty would have even a feint understanding of finance and economics. ;)

Good luck to you mate, at least you've been planning for the futureI bought them cash so never needed to use a mortgage and as I let several members of my family use my properties rent free I never got any tax relief in the first place as far as profits are concerned most of my properties have increased in value up to tenfold so only capital gains to worry about.
