Any recommendations after Trainspotting and Porno? I absolutely love his books so far. The man is a genius.

Filth is brilliant, I read it while I was living in Edinburgh which probably made it resonate even more with me but I loved it. Bruce Robertson has to be one of the greatest anti-heroes of modern fiction, darkly hilarious and grotesquely original, if you like the author already you should just read it.

Filth is amazing. Maribou Stork Nightmares is excellent too - that one will stick with you, mark my words. Glue is about another bunch of lads from Leith in a similar way to Trainspotting, but it's a more conventional narrative structure, although it does follow them from being kids to the present; one of the main characters is Juice Terry so it's worth it too find out more about one of the best characters in Porno. Skagboys is decent too and well worth reading. But Filth, Maribou Stork Nightmares and glue are the best I'd say.

I remember reading Trainspotting on a flight back from Canada and having to put it down as I was giggling so much. The scene where Spud goes for a job interview is stunning.

Trainspotting is a serious work of art. Porno was a trashy cash-in by comparison and the less said about Skag Boys the better.

The Acid House has some highlights, Filth is a superb account of a man in disintegration.

Maribou Stork Nightmares is his best book.

As other have said, Maribou Stork is the best of the lot and in general his earlier writing was better. Other notable's were the acid house and filth.

The Bedroom Secrets of the Master Chefs.
Started reading it but got sidetracked so can't give a review.
It was worth zero on Pointless the other day so it's probably shit!!

Filth is a great piece of writing - disturbing and enthralling.
Maribou Stork Nighgmares gave me nightmares.
