K-rend

any specialists out there..

Just had my house rendered with k rend... The colour we've gone for is off white called Ivory ....

However the colour looks nothing like the sample and is more cream ...

Does it dry out and lighten ???

Cheers

they all say this. I went for white and got a yellowy colour. Builder said 'that is white' to whicj i replied is it fuck. 'It'll go white in a few weeks' Bollox

My house is rendered, but it's blown all over the place. My question is, what is the point in render? What's to stop me getting all the render taken off and just having the outside re-pointed?

A few factors can influence the final colour. Large scale wall coverage can vary from the small colour swatch you saw, dependant upon light, background, correct render mix and consistent thickness of the application. But Ivory / dark cream seem to be pretty close, are you just after a refund??

Quiet riot
Rendering is generally used to hide a multitude of sins in the masonry below, nothing to stop you chipping it off, but it may not be just a repoint that's required below.
