I think it's the enormity of what it would mean to hand Liverpool the Quadruple, that makes it so stressful. (Shudders uncontrollably). That and having no defence, no strikers & a goalie who only saves shots that are hit straight at him. Is that negative enough for this thread ?

You do get some odd last days ... Blackburn won their title despite losing on the last day (second-placed Utd couldn't win either v West Ham) ... and Villa won the title in 1981 despite losing on the last day - second-placed Ipswich also lost (to Middlesbrough).

City & Liverpool have both won 78% of our / their home games this season. Not sure what my point is, except that it isn't guaranteed that both will win. There could yet be some dramatic last day twists & turns. Hope not, though - City 3-0 up at half-time would be just what the doctor ordered.

Although even after all those defeats, their GD for the season is only 2 worse than United's. And Utd qualified for Europe.

Southampton are on diabolical form, unfortunately - they've lost 5 of their last 6 home games by up to 0-6. Comparing them with Villa: Villa beat them 4-0 in March. Newcastle, Palace & Watford all won at Southampton in the past couple of months.
