    Tour de France 2020

Have to agree with this. I was thinking it yesterday but didn’t want to post as it felt like it might just be sour grapes because he and his team are the big rival to my favourite team, but he’s the type of rider to follow attacks and gain small amounts of time rather than launch a big attack...

    Tour de France 2020

I don’t think it’s too much time (59 seconds) but he did look weak when Primoz & Pogacar went. I was hoping that Bernal would grow into it and by now be the one testing everyone else but he was hanging on today which doesn’t bode well for next week.

    Tour de France 2020

Great to see Hirschi get his win today - another ballsy long distance break and managed to fend off an Alaphillipe-led chasing group with ease

    Tour de France 2020

Good sprint yesterday with Caleb winning. Sagan relegated due to barging WVA in the sprint. Bennett still in green and given Sagan’s troubles he’s looking good for keeping it. Shortest ever longest stage today at 218km. Lumpy profile with two cat 4s, a cat 3 and a cat 2 which could be a good...

    F1 Season 2020.

Grosjean once again putting others in danger, swerved out in front of Lewis as Lewis was passing the almost stationary cars

It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

This will have a huge impact on clauses in future contracts with top players surely saying no to ridiculously high release clauses rather than just going along with the club’s wishes taking it for granted that they’ll want to stay at said club for the length of that contract

    The Messi Mambo 2020

Just got in from work and worryingly there seems to have been a huge drop off in optimism on this thread? Only read the last three pages - has something happened?

    Tour de France 2020

Bernal looking weak as he did in the Dauphiné, can only hope he’s building up to week 3 as Froomey used to! If Roglic can keep that up then it’ll be a walk in the park

    Squad Numbers - 2020/21

I’m sure Sergio wanted rid of 16 because he originally chose it due to some link with his ex (Maradona’s daughter) so if that’s the case I can’t imagine he’d take it back? Can’t find a link to back that up but I’m sure that was why he chose 16 in the first place

    Tour de France 2020

He was in exceptional form last year prior to Le Tour and then he surprised even himself at Le Tour, so I would expect that he’s planned this year around Le Tour having realised he might actually have a semi-realistic chance of winning the GC given how close he got last year and how crazy...

Confirmed: Ferran Torres signs 5 year contract

Zaba wore 5 which I’m assuming is who you mean with 2?

    It’s just @kunaguero no sign of 16?

    F1 Season 2020.

Every weekend FP1 and FP2 give you that glimmer of hope that maybe the rest of the field are closing the gap on Mercedes but no doubt they’ll do their quali sims in FP3 and be a good 7 tenths clear of everyone again before having a whole second in Q3

Is left back really a problem?

How many Premier League or top Champions League sides have left backs from their academy in their first team squad, let alone starting 11?

    Tour de France 2020

That’s a brave shout - he’d definitely be a popular winner and I guess of all years this could be the year a “wild card” but I think my money’s on Roglic. Only question mark with him/TJV for me is can they do it for three weeks?

    Tour de France 2020

Team INEOS (to be known as the INEOS Bombardiers for Le Tour) have today announced their squad for the re-arranged Tour starting on the 29th of this month excluding four-time winner Froome and 2018 winner Thomas. Not a huge surprise given their lack of form in the short period of racing...
