Welcome Erling Haaland | Signing confirmed on a 5 year deal

A gobshite rag at work has been foaming at the mouth when talking about fake Ron wanting to leave. The conversation evolved into his claiming that we're a stepping stone for Erling and he's offered me a £50 bet that he leaves City and he's at Madrid in 2024. I've took him up on that bet :)

Gabriel Jesus | Joins Arsenal for £45m

Been a really good squad player for us. His performance away at Real Madrid just before lock down will stick in my mind, as will him scoring the goal at Southampton for us to get 100 points. A good signing for Arsenal. All the best Gabby.

    Liverpool Thread - 2022/23

I don't think Liverpool really had a choice with regard Salah and his new contract/wages. Them losing both Mane and Salah would have had the cult in complete meltdown. Mane would have wanted the same money as Salah too so him departing has probably given them less of a headache. Salah is...

Just another day on the New York subway.

I agree with this. We used the subway all the time whilst in New York and it was entertaining and eye opening.

Stupid little things that bug you

Not being allowed to take your own beer into gig venues. £6 for a 330ml can of beer and £10 for a double rum and coke at Castlefield Bowl last night. You can't take your own beer but it's seemingly OK for people to openly smoke weed and snort cocaine.

    Fernandinho’s Open Letter to Fans

Gonna miss him. A top, top player and bloke it would seem. He's in the debate regarding greatest defensive midfielder in Premier League history and he didn't come to the league until he was 28.

Greatest front man to a band

Strummer or Jagger get my vote. From who I've seen live I'd say Jarvis, Ashcroft or Williamson.

Best Live Performance In Your Opinion?

I was lucky enough to see the Vengaboys in Magaluff years ago. A jaw dropping performance that's stayed with me for ever. *I've got something in my eye.

Glastonbury 2022 (Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar headlining)

Best for me were Elbow, Little Simz, Bicep, and Jack White. Wolf Alice, Kendrick Lemar, Pet Shop Boys, Wet Leg and Fontaines were decent enough. Worst by a mile were Primal Scream. Going to catch up with Avalanches, Courtney Barnett, Noel Gallagher, Jarvis and supergrass later. There's...

Glastonbury 2022 (Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar headlining)

Primal Scream are pretty embarrassing. Thought Little Smiz was really good when doing the stuff off Grey Area however, Kate Tempest was miles better earlier in the day. Yet to be moved by anything that I've seen so far. Edit. Before I went for a pint or two I did see Wet Leg. They were good.

    MCR craft beer festival

Same with the Samuel Oldknow in marple that I frequent. Don't think I'll bother and instead I'll just wander around the pubs in town.
