Pep's contract situation | Expected to leave at the end of next season according to Jack Gaughan (p1332)

As mad it sounds I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. Hopefully not though. I just can't see it being good for the club having his departure and the charges being discussed every presser and lingering over us. I wonder if he goes out on a high with the 4 peat. I also think Pep will do a...

Pep's contract situation | Expected to leave at the end of next season according to Jack Gaughan (p1332)

I wonder who the first journalist will be during pre-season to propose the question of him jumping ship because of 115. I wouldn't be surprised to see it put forward.

Pep's contract situation | Expected to leave at the end of next season according to Jack Gaughan (p1332)

I think he knows considering the age profile of the team, it probably has one or two years left in it before a new look team will have to emerge. I think he will leave that for another manager to build in their image. In the next 12 months we will likely lose Ederson, Walker, Stones, De Bruyne...

Pep's contract situation | Expected to leave at the end of next season according to Jack Gaughan (p1332)

Alonso will replace Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

    Ederson?!!

City need to remain firm with the Saudis and say £50m minimum or no deal. He is worth to us more than the £25m they are apparently currently offering, and we hold the power with him having 2 years left. It does sound like he is keen on cashing in on his recent success and going for the...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I agree mate, but I don't see City paying it. I think we might see some alternative links this week in all honesty.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

My feeling is I think Pep wants him but the club will only go so far in trying to get him. We won't pay the £100m release clause and £250k-£300k a week for Bruno. It isn't happening in my opinion. I think the club will ultimately leave a take it or leave it offer of £80m for him and if it's a...

    Joao Neves

Cancelo and Phillips will be loans unfortunately. Wages far too high for both players for any realistic club to add in a transfer fee.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I don't think City will pay the release clause. City will want to deal at around £80m which in my opinion it means the deal won't get done. With regards to Neves, I think Benfica can be brought down from the buyout clause. £80m for them is very different than what it would be for Newcastle...

    Ederson?!!

    Saudi's have offered £25m apparently.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Partly agree mate, but I think opposition forwards will be told to press Ortega next season. He has more of a mistake in him than Ederson. I just think we will end up having a few Bravo esq moments next season with him in net and eventually we will have to change how we play out of the back. I...

Kompany set to become Bayern Munich manager

I think we can all bet that if he wins the Bundesliga and or the CL, the likes of Dyche and Allardyce will use the argument of Kompany as a reason why they should be getting the top jobs and it's all about the players you have.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Ortega is a good goalkeeper, but we will struggle next season if he is number one. Good shot-stopper, but nowhere near as composed as Eddie.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Terrible decision if true and it's partly the clubs fault for not increasing his contract last year or in previous years. Jordan Pickford and Aaron Ramsdale earn more than him. Nunes and Kalvin Phillips earn more than him as well.

    5 | John Stones - 2023/24

I am pretty sure Pep would have said to him in the week "I want to play you, but are you fit and ready, how do you feel?" From there on in John should have said to him he wasn't ready, thanks for the offer, but the team comes first. Both to blame for me.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

It is not so much about the quality, its the motivation and hunger to go again next season. That's why I think Pep will sell a few big names and freshen it all up. He knows this current team and it's style is pretty much at the end of it's cycle and a new one needs to be implemented, and in...

    James McAtee

If he gets that offer he should take it because I don't see any PL team taking on a Sheffield United player of last season. They were one of the worst PL teams in the history of the competition. Up there with Derby. CL football and La Liga or likely Championship move.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

If we let Ederson go we will struggle next season. It will completely destabilise our defence letting him go.
