    Media Discussion - 2023/24

Wouldn’t be a bad thing tbh. It’ll eventually expose what the real issues are. Don’t think it’ll happen though, he’ll play him again.

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

Might have another pro City voice in the punditry team soon, I know they don’t tend to go for keepers but Joe Hart has been great on the coverage tonight.

    Just Stop Oil protests

Think they sometimes need to be more explicit about the message behind the protests too - I think the paint over the picture and this one are actually very powerful messages, way more so than when they’re doing the more explicitly disruptive acts, but they need to get the narrative out there as...

    Just Stop Oil protests

Which is exactly why they do the protests they do and will keep doing it.

    Just Stop Oil protests

Pretty much. I get the criticism of them if they’re blocking public services but chucking paint on something and people being outraged about it just validates their point to me.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Good thread here on Fodens performance the other night -

    General Election - 4th July 2024

Be interesting to know how many people voting for reform are actually wanting them to get in to power vs making a statement. Their manifesto makes Truss look like an economic genius.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Thought him and Neville were both right in what they were saying tbh.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

To be fair, I think the point is it’s not really about watching Foden, it’s watching England and how Southgate has them set up. The way he’s currently got it, he wants two deep midfielders in front of the defence. In that set up, it is a choice between Bellingham and Foden and given the style...

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

If Southgate wants to continue with a similar midfield set up and playing Bellingham how he is doing too, then I wouldn’t play Foden.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Watched him off the ball throughout tonight, the worrying thing in the first half is how often he was moving into positions where there was no chance he was going to receive the ball and it wasn’t pulling anyone out of position either.

    Serbia v England - Sun 16th June, 20:00 | Euro 2024 Group C

He’s not had a good game even with the fact he’s had to play a sacrificial role for most of it.

    General Election - 4th July 2024

I agree, no one can say they can’t. It’s valid for them to give reasons why they shouldn’t though.

    General Election - 4th July 2024

Yeah I agree, deciding who to put in charge of the country and be accountable for a large proportion of the quality of life of everyone that lives here isn’t a subject to get emotive about at all. t’s not something actually important, like football, is it…? ;)

My wife said if you’re bored why don’t you make a bird table? Now she’s kicking off because I put her in fifth place.

    General Election - 4th July 2024

Most media journalism is still hugely in favour of the tories, which is the main reason why reform have done so well and are polling so high.

    General Election - 4th July 2024

Thing is, even if people are voting for them because they’re just fully openly racist, it doesn’t change that their manifesto makes absolutely no sense and would cripple the whole country. You’ve got to also be either immensely stupid or be that full of resentment that you hate both your own...

    General Election - 4th July 2024

Not sure many that Starmer has attracted would have gone to reform. They’d be more the one nation tories.

    General Election - 4th July 2024

Reform polling as high as they are now is incredibly depressing.

    Keir Starmer

Starmer will be happy with that, don’t think he’d have lost anyone and that’s all he really needs to do.
