It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I have been thinking exactly the same, regarding Yaya. I might get pelters for this. But, I think Yaya was a far better player than Kev. Yaya could do everything Kev can and more. You can't, like for like, replace players like Kev and Yaya.

90's Dance & Old Skool Classics

Well I certainly can't do anything like that on my decks. It proves the point really. The use of modern technology opens up so many new possibilities. They are skills in their own right. It's sounds like a DMC mega mix. Cheers for that mate. Nice way to spend 5 minutes, while brewing up.

90's Dance & Old Skool Classics

I'm up for using anything mate. People get far too precious about it. Dj'ing is about having fun and entertaining people. It does not matter what media you use. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the music. I have recently got Serato and the time coded vinyl. Unfortunately I...

90's Dance & Old Skool Classics

I got Twist for £4, out of a sad box, from Reflex Records on Oldham St. I had no money on me and had to ask them to keep hold of it while I ran to the bank. These were the days from before Discogs. No chance you would get anything like that these days. Even charity shops bump up the prices on...

The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 - P130 Round 1 / CD / M57 - The Spencer Davis Group (Gimme Some Lovin') v Frankie Wilson (Do I Love You)

The New Order one is the best song. It's based on the Reportage theme tune, which was done by Gillian, I think (Quite ironic that Hooky gives her constant shit, but the only number one they had was based on a piece of music Gillian wrote). The 3 Lions one is the best football song. It's rabble...

    Jacob Rees-Mogg

Got to keep an eye on those who were raised middle class, but came from working class roots. They're the worst ones.

    England v Switzerland - Sat 6th July, 17:00 | Euro 2024 Quarter-Final

No it's not. But, I don't think we have been anywhere near as bad as posters in here will have you believe. That was a great move for the Mainoo shot. We passed it around really well to create the opening.

    England v Switzerland - Sat 6th July, 17:00 | Euro 2024 Quarter-Final

I think we have played alright. Plenty of City games like this where we have had to wear the opposition down.

    Glastonbury 2024

I'm sound mate. Been going to Glasto for years. I live around the corner from the festival these days and 12 of my mates came down from Newton Heath. Been diagnosed with diabetes to go along with my Crohns. So realistically, it was probably the last mad one I will ever have with my mates. I will...

    Glastonbury 2024

It was special. Not going to lie, I got a little emotional during their set. I have had a bit of personal turmoil over the last few weeks and deep down I knew that I will probably never go back to the festival. Its a good job I had shades on, so my mates could not see my eyes :-D

    Glastonbury 2024

I think it was who has headlined before SZA without ever having a number one album or single. Depeche have had number 1 albums, so would fulfill the criteria, even if they are to play (I don't think they ever will).

    Depeche Mode have never played.

    Glastonbury 2024

She was not headline material at Glastonbury, regardless of her standing elsewhere. She got the smallest ever crowd for a Gladstonbury headliner, which made it dangerous and uncomfortable elsewhere. She would have got a bigger crowd, subbing an established headliner. She might be the best thing...

    Glastonbury 2024

What did Billy Eilish have when she headlined? She's the youngest to headline and got bumped from the John Peel stage. I have just got home after having an absolute ball. Confidence Man were the best set of the weekend. They absolutely smashed the Other Stage. K Klass were great as well. Nice...

He reminds me of Paulie Malignaggi, style wise. All the skills in the world, but no pop in his punches. Will be interesting to see if he has Paulie's heart.

The most depressing group you have ever heard?

Has to be Joy Division. Although there is a beauty about them. The fact Ian Curtis laid his sould bare in his lyrics, then actually killed himself actually emphasises the darkness of the music. I don't find the Smiths depressing at all. Save for a few numbers, the music is actually very upbeat.
