    Let's be honest, Hughes is clueless at this level. He's a Bolton or a Blackburn type of manager, spend little and get a big return from workhorse players who know this is their only chance to play at this level - he's like take Big Sam - Great at Bolton but the wheels soon came off at Newcastle...

    I just read this whole thread again. Friggin' hilarious...... No mention yet of a big German duffer about 7 years ago called Micheal Tarnet and I think we had a Lee Peacock who came from Forest, he was dreadful. We paired him with Craig Russell or the boy Creaney........

    How can this thread have gone this far without so much as a sniff of BRIAN GAYLE? He was shite. The Bearded One referred to earlier was ex-Villa & ex-Liverpool - David Cross. He was about 40 when he came to us. Still had some touch but zero mobility. And I remember Peter Reid teelling us...
