Rodri is the most important player in the world. He's a goal threat, incredible positioning, good vision, great passing, great aerial, crazy interceptions...it's crazy how one player can be that good in every single aspect his position demands

Rodri and Foden with really high level. Haaland as clinical as usual. Kovacic-Foden could be a good partnership. Akanji, Lewis really poor.

Finally, the season starts. KDB and Foden both starting should be an offensive treat for us. We have to be patient because we are far away from our peak (more than any other team probably), but we still should win this match. Cmon blues!!

I agree, althought I would exclude Bernardo. If Foden or KDB don't start, Haaland will always have a quiet game. Sometimes Grealish at his best can also produce good chances for him, but that's it.

For me Foden/KDB are offensive and creative enough that Rodri/Kovacic tandem would bring great retention, physicality and ability to push forward and gain 15-20m to balance our game.

The importance of KDB/Foden this year is huge (lacking on the creation a bit in our team). As soon as they got in, we created 10 times more danger.

Fun match. KDB and Foden changed the match. Bernardo Kovacic and Grealish cannot play at the same time. Glad for Palmer, good matches from Rodri, Kovacic and Ortega. Overall good performance taking into account that Arsenal are closer to their peak physical form than us. Usual City at penalties.

Arsenal players are 1 or 2 levels of intensity above us (we are still kinda in preseason form physically). Positive for us to still be competitive.

Again, if you think Palmer, Lewis, McAtee, Perrone, Gomez and Phillips are comparable to Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Jesus and Danilo (16-17 versions of them)...there is just no point. But I would be genuinely curious if there is another person who thinks that is a good comparisson.
