    16 | Rodri - 2023/24

Wrong. Best player in the world. As a DM, he can be the most dangerous player on the pitch. It's just utterly ridiculous.

    17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2023/24

Good news. Foden must step up, and we should sign a creative player, because without them Haaland is ineffective and our most dangerous player would be Rodri (a DM!!)

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

KDB doesn't have la pausa either, but both of them are way more dangerous than either Bernardo or Kovacic. Nlw that KDB is injured Foden is one of the most important players in the squad. We don't have many creative players.

    Kalvin Phillips

These players would come off as DM before Phillips: Kovacic, Stones, Gvardiol, Lewis, Bernardo, Pep Guardiola as manager/player, asking Fernandinho to come back to be the DM and then Phillips

Match Thread | Burnley vs Man City (11/08/23) 8pm

Rodri is the most important player in the world. He's a goal threat, incredible positioning, good vision, great passing, great aerial, crazy interceptions...it's crazy how one player can be that good in every single aspect his position demands

Rodri and Foden with really high level. Haaland as clinical as usual. Kovacic-Foden could be a good partnership. Akanji, Lewis really poor.

    Burnley (A) - Fri 11th Aug | Pre-Match Thread

Finally, the season starts. KDB and Foden both starting should be an offensive treat for us. We have to be patient because we are far away from our peak (more than any other team probably), but we still should win this match. Cmon blues!!

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

I agree, althought I would exclude Bernardo. If Foden or KDB don't start, Haaland will always have a quiet game. Sometimes Grealish at his best can also produce good chances for him, but that's it.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

For me Foden/KDB are offensive and creative enough that Rodri/Kovacic tandem would bring great retention, physicality and ability to push forward and gain 15-20m to balance our game.

    17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2023/24

The importance of KDB/Foden this year is huge (lacking on the creation a bit in our team). As soon as they got in, we created 10 times more danger.

    20 | Bernardo Silva - 2023/24

Wham I am going to write might be sacrilege for some, but I think Foden should be ahead. Our defense is too strong and the Rodri/Kovacic tandem looks really promising that I don't feel we need Bernardo's energy as much. Without Gundogan and KDB one year older, what we need is creativity and...

    Arsenal (A) | Community Shield | Post-match Thread

Fun match. KDB and Foden changed the match. Bernardo Kovacic and Grealish cannot play at the same time. Glad for Palmer, good matches from Rodri, Kovacic and Ortega. Overall good performance taking into account that Arsenal are closer to their peak physical form than us. Usual City at penalties.

Match Thread | Man City vs Arsenal - FA Community (06/08/23)

Arsenal players are 1 or 2 levels of intensity above us (we are still kinda in preseason form physically). Positive for us to still be competitive.

Ortega, Kovacic and Rodri great FH. If KDB is not playing, Foden should play because Bernardo doesn't have the speed/the passing to break defense/create chances for Haaland.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

UCL teams weakened? How? Bayern: Upgraded with Guerreiro as a squad member, much improved in defense with Kim, and improved in MF with Laimer. Madrid: Huge improvement with Bellingham. Lost an aging Benzema. Arsenal: Rice is great, Timber is really good, and Havertz is improvement for squad...

    Who should replace Riyad Mahrez?

? Messi was in Barca academy since 11 and started being the best player in the world at 19-20. Cristiano was elite by the age of 19-20 too and was an important sporting player before United signed him (at 17!). Those are another two examples of what I said

    Who should replace Riyad Mahrez?

True, like I said, more often than not you either become elite before you are 20 (as an academy player), or you never become part of the first team. I never said they will never become important players for us, just that history is not on their part, and that there are not a lot of players who...

    Who should replace Riyad Mahrez?

True, but even Kane by the age of 21 was a starter and scoring +20 goals in a season. I would love to be proven wrong, but history is not on their part. It's standard for players like Mahrez or Kante who were not in an elite team in their teens to need more time to develop, but for elite...

    Who should replace Riyad Mahrez?

I am sure this comment will bring back some backlash, but I really doubt Palmer, McAtee will ever be important City players. When you want to give a statement like that you have to go look on other elite clubs and which youngsters are important players for their teams, because we don't have...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Again, if you think Palmer, Lewis, McAtee, Perrone, Gomez and Phillips are comparable to Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Jesus and Danilo (16-17 versions of them)...there is just no point. But I would be genuinely curious if there is another person who thinks that is a good comparisson.
