City v Southampton pre match thread.

I think it will be Hart Zaba - Ota - Mangala - Kolarov Dinho - Yaya De Bruyne Kelechi - Agüero - Sterling

City v Southampton pre match thread.

S'hampton still aiming for Europe as well so won't be easy, City should still get the upperhand in terms of quality though. 2-1 to City is my call. (regardless who plays)

City v Real Madrid - 26/04/16 - Pre Match Thread

Is there a confirmation on Ronaldo's fitness yet for tonight? As much as it's necessary, can't see City keeping a clean sheet tonight, regardless of Ronaldo. The optimist in me will say 2-1 to City, but it won't be enough to win the tie I'm afraid.

    City v Stoke - 23/04/16 - Pre Match Thread

Not expecting any problems to get past Stoke, as their season is virtually over. Expecting a similar scenario as last weekend v Chelsea. Possibly 4-0. Shouldn't be a cause for too much euphoria though, just like a difficult game v Newcastle should't be a cause for too much negativity. Typical...

Newcastle 1-1 City post match thread

I'm sensing a lot of negativity in here... I didn't think it was all that bad. An away draw against Newcastle who are desperately trying to avoid relegation, is a "normal" result. Those who thought to come win 0-4 are a bit deluded imo. I did feel like most of the players turned up last night...

    KDB's Pace

If Pep could manage to "cut out" some of the sloppiness and temporary switching off, he'll be an absolute worldbeater. Not sure if that's possible though, I think it's a bit inherent to him as a person.

I do, the general sense of humour and quality of discussion is quite high compared to other fora!

Didn't mean any offense, Karen, your sarcastic comments are one of the reasons why I tend to come here ;-)

Chelsea vs City Post Match Thread

Exactly, the boy is gifted to an extent where you simply cannot turn into a bad player overnight. Chelsea has been a rotten environment this season and Hazard has sunk to the bottom together with the rest of 'm. I'm convinced he would flourish quite rapidly in a "football friendly" environment...

Newcastle vs City pre match Thread

Re Kompany: I would probably also stick with Otamendi & Mangala atm even if I don't rate Ota very highly. I think it's too dangerous to mess up the increasing level of understanding between them at such a crucial point in the season. There's no guarantee that Kompany's return will last this time...

Chelsea vs City Post Match Thread

I'm not going to try & convince you otherwise because your increasingly popular opinion is exactly the reason why Hazard 's price tag is going down by the minute and he'll be an absolute bargain this summer :) So I'll just hope Txiki & Guardiola are part of the believers and pull the transfer of...

I believe he blocked a few Samaritans who tried to make it onto the pitch for streaking!

Amen to that! With all due respect to Sterling & Navas but they 'd be knocked back to league cup action if that could happen. However, Sanchez to City, I think that's way more unlikely than Hazard.

Wow, I though he was anything but anonymous. The way he cut through Chelsea defence on his own before being brought down by Courtois was quite absurdly impressive.

Although I agree on the level of work rate, the speed, the infiltration etc. that he brings, he still just doesn't the deliver the numbers that you may expect from an attacking player in a club like City. However, I'm not convinced Sterling is the answer to that. As I said in my previous post...

Chelsea vs City Post Match Thread

Quite rightly so. And now City should get in on Hazard too. He's going to be a bargain after this sh** season of his, and he'll be an absolute masterpiece in City's style of play, and definitely when properly managed by the likes of Pep. People dissing him a lot now, but don't forget what a...

Chelsea vs City Post Match Thread

Excellent game, City not winning the league this year is quite absurd if you see how they can play ... A lot of people say it might have been a diff story if Kev hadn't been injured, but I'm not sure, the last weeks before his injury were definitely not his best, but his überefficiency may have...
